AC Hotel by Marriott Seattle Bellevue/Downtown

Bellevue|2.81km from city center
I reserved two rooms, online, one with mobility accessibility for my sister and the other for hubby and me and I requested adjoining rooms so we could help my sister or chat with her. It's a bit tricky to get into the street where the hotel is located as it is on a small street with only a sign which says AC Lounge as have passed it the first and second night of our stay and we still have 3 more days to go. Valet parking for $39 is available and a necessity for us as my sister has mobility issues and needs a cane to get around. I had chatted on the mobile app about getting adjoining rooms the day before our arrival and they were able to get a mobility accessible room adjacent to our room. My sister had a king bed in her room and ours had a queen and they were located only a few steps from the elevator. The rooms have only 2 small drawers and a small area for hanging up clothes, a safe, a refrigerator with two complimentary water bottles, a hot shot for hot water. The room is just right for the two of us and the bathroom has a big rain shower head as well as a handheld shower head and I love the citrus scent of the shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. It smells so clean and fresh. The room is basic with minimal frills. This is a pet friendly hotel, and there is treat jar for pets! Olga was very helpful when we checked in and the only thing is that we had a hard time understanding what she was telling us as English we believe is her second language. The first morning we were here I went to the 24 hour fitness center located on the lobby level and it's great with water available, towels, sanitizing wipes, complimentary ear phones in case you don't have any, and my favorite props like the stability, medicine and bosu ball as well as free weights. I'm not much for machines but I do enjoy doing balancing and core exercises. The bosu ball needs more air in it though and should be checked periodically. Then we had their buffet breakfast which was $22 a person which includes, juice, coffee, scrambled eggs, deli meats, pastries, english muffin with sausage or ham, tea, hot oatmeal, milk, almond milk, yogurt, all kinds of fresh fruit like strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, cantaloupe, bananas, which all made for a healthy meal or not! Also there's a microwave and ice machine (called the hydration station) available on every floor for your convenience.

I’ve stayed at this hotel whenever I’m in Bellevue, WA for well over thirty years. My earliest memories of this property were as a Red Lion Hotel. Then it became a Double Tree and finally, on its deathbed , it’s a Hilton. How the mighty have fallen… Not withstanding the property, which I’ll get into, I will say that the staff are generally kind and helpful. So this review is not to diminish their efforts. However hard they work, the reality is this property is beyond salvage and should be torn down and a new property should be built in its place. The bedrooms are grossly outdated, and when you look behind the doors, or in between the furniture, you’ll see how old this hotel is. While it’s sizeable in space and scope, the elevators are tragically slow, with two-of-four being out of commission when we stayed there recently. Sadly, the water pressure is so low it takes forever to wash and rinse. Our keycard failed three separate times, requiring a long walk and painful elevator ride back to the main desk where the staff reset the keycard. The pool is functioning, but there were never enough chairs and loungers. Add to this there were never enough fresh towels and you’re getting the taste of mediocrity this hotel delivers. One absolutely disgusting site is the swamp that lies just beside the pool (down the concrete foundation about twenty feet). I have no idea who thinks this is aesthetically pleasing, but it’s not. It’s home to a few ducks who clearly have poor taste in accommodations, as did we. This poolside unattraction is downright ugly. One thing I was interested to see were several staff members not wearing any type of formal Hilton uniforms. The breakfast buffet chef was literally dressed in Carharts with a t-shirt, work boots and a ball cap on. And one of the maintenance staff looked like he just walked in off the street. Management must have been on vacation at another property. Finally, the outside of the building, including the massive sloping glass facade, clearly hasn’t been washed in decades. And worse, yet, the parking area is filthy to say the least. Food containers, candy wrappers, cigarette butts and hygiene products lay a strewn for days with no effort to maintain a modest effort in appearance. This was the last time we will stay at this hotel. If you want to save yourself frustration and disappointment, I encourage you to stay at the new Marriott up the street. Literally blocks away, it’s a cleaner, nicer bet.

I travel for work every week and stay in different hotels on a regular basis and I have to say this hotel is hands down the worst hotel I have stayed in. For a hotel that claims to cater to business travel the WIFI is extremely unstable. I have to constantly reconnect and disconnect to get any work done. Do not rely on it for any meetings just save yourself the headache and turn on a hotspot if you have the misfortune of staying here. But by far more upsetting than the WIFI issues was the fact that THEY CHECKED SOMEONE ELSE INTO MY ROOM WHILE I WAS STILL STAYING THERE! I had left for work for the day and after coming back I noticed my keys did not work. I went to the front desk to get them re-keyed, here they asked me if I had checked out. Once I told them I had not they said, ”Oh that's weird our system showed it was a vacant room so we checked another guest into the room.” They gave another guest the keys to the room where I was still staying. They did not even bother to send housekeeping to check on the status of the room before checking another guest in after I had ”Checked Out.” I am lucky the guest that checked in immediately closed the door and informed the front office however, this was an extremely violating experience as I had left all my personal valuables and important work equipment in my room. To top it off after coming back from work the next day my keys did not work again. Luckily they did not move someone in again but it was still an extremely frustrating experience. I am writing this review on Wednesday of my Monday-Friday trip but it feels like I have been trapped in this disappointing hotel for a month. Do yourselves a favor and book at the Marriott across the street and save yourself the headache of having to stay here. I will NEVER stay at this location again and I will only stay at another Sonesta hotel if I have no other choice.

We just left the Residence Inn Bellevue after checking out of room 743 for three night and it was one of our worst hotel stays in a long time. I’m a Marriott Ambassador member and pretty much live in hotels and this stay was beyond rough. We booked a two bedroom room and upon checking in they gave us a mobility accessible room which was fine except for the fact that we brought our little kids who had access to everything (knives, the door locks, garbage disposal switch etc). The real problem was the noise, the room is situated right on the 405 freeway and we couldn’t sleep at all. When I checked in I asked the lady at the front desk and she said it would be quiet which it wasn’t. Then the next morning when I went down to ask about a room switch the morning desk manager told me all the 2 bedrooms are on the freeway corner and she verbatim said “the 2 bedroom rooms are loudest rooms in the whole hotel and she has no idea why they even sell them or situated them right on the freeway”. On top of the no sleep for three nights we paid an absurd $550/night for the Residence inn. The room is in need of a major facelift with banged up cabinets, stains in the floors, torn up carpeting, etc. Also on top of the cake there was a crushed up medicine under the couch that our two year old found, so they need to drastically need to do a much better job cleaning. This whole hotel stay was very rough and I high advise to stay somewhere else next time!

I have to note that I have stayed in so many hotels relocating from the East Coast to the West Coast, and I’ve been very surprised at certain hotel chains. This hotel was a delight!! I’ve worked in customer service for years, and I was always told that you be able to know who the manager is just by their leadership skills; I knew immediately that Raj was the General Manager. His professionalism, accuracy, and customer service skills were impeccable; by far the best I’ve seen and I’ve stayed at 25 different hotels during this journey. The hotel itself is also wonderful, which reflects on management also. Every front desk employee was excellent, and I appreciate some humor, and got some from a young lady. The rooms are immaculate, and very spacious; there are a lot of places to meet all your needs in terms of toiletries, wine, and many other things. You can ask the front desk so many questions and not only will they give you the answers, but they will make sure you understand where you are going. The entire team was dressed perfectly, something I’ve noticed has been lacking in other hotels. I think it’s also in the perfect location, because your right outside of Seattle, but not in the middle of all the chaos so you have a great deal peace, but can get to the city in 15 minutes approximately, This has been my favorite hotel that we have stayed at since bouncing around the Seattle area. I applaud Raj, and all management as well as the front desk agents, you truly are all wonderful, and I felt at home but better bc the hotel is just wonderful in all respects. Thank you North Gate for restoring my faith in hotels again.

The room itself was fine, but the free WiFi wouldn't work for my laptop, only our phones. We talked to tech support twice and they ran me through the standard litany of things, but nothing worked. This is the same laptop that could literally go down into the lobby, find a different access point, and connect fine, but the actual hotel's WiFi was hot garbage. Considering I was there for three nights, it was definitely inconvenient and something that'll prompt me to stay elsewhere for my next trip.

We stayed here for two nights over the weekend to attend a competition. We had a great rate so the value of the stay was great for this busy area. The continental breakfast had good variety and typical for this level of hotel. The rooms were clean and we enjoyed use of the microwave and fridge. There are a lot of food choices and shopping nearby. No on site restaurant or bar but they did have a small store. We did “to go” and all met back in the common area to eat. Kids enjoyed the pool but it closed at 8 even on the weekend. Beds were a little soft. It’s on a split level hill so we could park outside our second level room. The staff were attentive and helpful.

I have lived in Hilton for so long. For the first time, the front desk grandmother was speechless. First, there were no slippers. The bathtub was used with water + dirty. I don’t know if it was shit. Second, the yellow one of the quilts happened to be too obvious at the top! Third, the ice bucket is all gray. If the friends in the linen room don’t clean the room, don’t give the guests. It’s too dirty. I don’t think what my gold card member will do. Even if I don’t have a room, I don’t have slippers. Who gave him courage?

We had two rooms, with four queen size beds, for our five person group (grandpa, son and wife, two grown grandchildren). Our stay was for nine nights; we alternated day trips into Seattle with trips to the parks . . . Olympic, and Mt. Rainier. The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs; we could get into Seattle by car in under a half hour or we could take the bus which stops a block away. The area was safe and the city of Bellevue seems clean and upscale. There are many restaurants of all types within walking distance. The rooms have mini fridges which gives you some 'cost control' for breakfast and for snacks. The only negatives were that there was no breakfast included and most nearby restaurants opened around eleven. Also, the parking cost $20 plus tax and the spaces are very tight and the entrance and exit are awkwardly set up. The front desk was very nice and, we had a great time and we would go back again to this hotel.

My husband and I stayed here while I was travel nursing. The staff was the absolute kindest and ever single one went above and beyond to make our stay great! It’s very clean has all you need for an extended stay! There are good restaurants and recommend the Crossroads Church across the parking lot! Great Sermon and message! Thank you All. We also brought our GSD Rooster and they loved him up too! Oh I almost forgot the fresh baked cookies every night at the front desk.
