As we know it’s name suggests itself the taj resort , Kids really enjoy a lots & made fun out it , foods was delicious .

The hotel is well-known, a little old, but the area and overall atmosphere are normal. The price/quality ratio is reasonable. An excellent restaurant overlooking the ocean and a very strange restaurant where breakfast and dinner are held (reviews on Google maps) confirm this. The beach is a little dirty, but this is not a problem of the hotel but of the local population in general.

OK! But the steam sauna costs 280 yuan (RMB) per session. Will I become more beautiful after steaming? I was dumbfounded.

Advantages: good service, very rich breakfast and dinner buffet, beautiful environment, great beach outside the hotel. Cons: The room is a bit dated.

Everyone has different standards. Somebody might feel that there were no issues to complain about, but that does not mean everything was perfect. There’s a big difference between good and perfection. Sometimes good is all we are looking for, and sometimes perfect is what we seek. Let me begin by saying that what makes this hotel so special are the people that work here, so caring,kind, and considerate. Yes, we had quite a few downfalls, but every issue we had was addressed and put right. This is down to a receptive GM who listened to us and made the changes. I have always found that if you have an issue, raise it and give the hotel a chance to put things right. Even though I can not rate this hotel with 5 stars, the luxury is missing, and the hotel is worn and tired looking. Little things such as cushion covers in the main buffet restaurant and pool sunbed covers which have lost their bounce and newness. I am aware that this is an old hotel, as with older properties, ageing is one of the problems. It needs a face-lift, but this is being done as we speak. Rooms are being refurbished, and the painting and decorating team are hard at it.I have no doubt that in a few years, they will reach their 5 stars. But I feel for the money charged, it is worth what you are paying for. I praise the team for all their hard work, their humbleness and devotion, and I would like to thank you for making our stay so memorable. ❤️

Inadequate for a taj property. Cleanliness and hygiene were not upto the mark. The help desk at check in did not understand instructions and gave us the wrong room despite clarifying. Staff, especially at the restaurants were very hospitable and accommodating.

Didn't expect those sweets. We wanted to stay at a great hotel away from Colombo over the weekend, while going through the places down south we found this place and let me tell you it justified the price. A very hospitable environment with everyone from the reception to the room service, they made sure that our stay was one that we have not experienced before and by the experience that they had given us it's safe to say that they did a good job in doing so. One of the more intriguing things that happened at the stay were the complimentary food that they gave. They started of with a fruit platter and then an hour later a sweet platter which was unexpected but tasted great. The food was amazing with having a variety of Indian cuisines with a few Sri Lankan ones as well. Also since the hotel is located close to the ocean they had quite a few BBQ s of seafood. One issue i did face was the during breakfast time when i went to get a coffee, the machine was broken and they said that they will bring me one to my table. I waited through the entire breakfast but never received that coffee. Then i got up and found that coffee machine was closed and they had brought out containers with coffee that could be self served. I should also thank the security team for helping out in an injury I had faced.

This was a lovely hotel on the beach with very friendly and welcoming staff! We met Mahindra first on arrival and nothing would be a problem - he guaranteed us and he certainly did just that. I have a Gluten allergy and I’m a Ceoliac but the hotel really did an amazing job in catering for me too! Chef Dalip Singh made some amazing dishes and even made an Uttampam pizza - which was delicious. Chef Pius was also wonderful- on my birthday he made me a Gluten Free Chinese dinner which was just wonderful! I can’t thank these chefs and their team enough for keeping me safe and well! Entertainment was good - especially Fernando on the saxophone- look out for his Bella Ciao! Furthermore the hotel have a very skilled cricket team and the activities manager invited my daughters to play along too - they both really enjoyed this! All staff from our cleaner Janindra and Sam , Ravindra and Ruwan in the restaurant- Roshan in The Shack,so many more to mention! Every staff member we met was amazing!The spa is a must too - I had an Ayurvedic facial and massage and so did my eldest daughter and husband - very relaxing and also staff knowledgeable re treatments. Pool is a good size and very clean. Hotel is good at arranging excursions too. We will definitely visit again one day - thank you to all staff for making our holiday so memorable . The hotel is really well located with a stunning beach . We had rooms with balcony and access to the beach with 100 step walk. Throughly enjoyed the stay and the amenities. Personalised touches are signature of The Taj and they went above and beyond to make it special for us . The staff like Ravi and Thalupathi along with hansika made a solid impression and we are thankful. Cannot wait to be back !

Breathtaking view from Sea view rooms and and a lavish spread and warm touch at all possible places right from ambience, food and hospitality. It was fun staying at Taj. Very friendly staff at every step especially the person who went 1 step ahead in all possible ways to make our breakfast experience wow especially because we werevtravelling with a kid. The hospitality shown by that person deserves 10 star...."Can't recollect his Srilankan name but in Srilanka it means Sunrise (it starts with alphabet P)

We had a memorable stay at The Taj which was made extra special by the friendly staff. The welcome at the arrival to the good bye at departure was very special and made us feel great. Besides the delicious food at the restaurant, the chefs, especially Mr Dalip and Mr Mishra took a lot of care which made us feel at home. Our room boy Jinendra did his bit to make our stay comfortable too. The cleanliness, landscaping of the hotel, the room size and all other amenities like the swimming pool etc were excellent!

It was a delightful week long holiday we had at the Taj Bentota, in the last week of May 2024. From checkin to checkout, the hospitality of the Taj was as expected and made our stay super enjoyable and comfortable! Special thanks to Mr Sibi Matthew and Mr Mahinda for their gracious help and hospitality. The staff we would like to thank specially include: 1. Sax player on three weekdays 10. All the staff at the hotel whose smiles and helpful nature made our stay pleasant and memorable 11. Hired car driver Shirley who was very helpful and always smiling The Taj Group excels in hospitality. The resort at Bentota is very picturesquely placed and the beach is super amazing. Thank you so much for a very enjoyable and relaxing stay!

We had a wonderful 3 nights at this well run property. The food, the service and staff were exceptional. This property is designed to give you a great experience. So much so that we just wanted to stay in the property and not go out A big thank you to each member of the staff here who were gracious and helpful . A living example of " Service with a smile"

Taj was special part of our vacation and we stayed for 2 nights, it turned out to exceed our expectations right from when we arrived. Special thanks to chef Dilip Singh who went out of the way to make our stay memorable. He was very welcoming and served us with best of delicacies and even asked for our food preferences. He's the best chef in Sri Lanka, wishing all the best and success to him
