IntercityHotel Berlin Hauptbahnhof

Location is excellent and hotel is modern with good amenities. But their staff service isn't very friendly and sounded impatient. This hotel doesn't clean your room everyday, and they mentioned it's only every three days. When we reminded them on the designated day, they said it's automatic on their schedule. But when we returned to our room end of day, it wasn't cleaned. The next day they came to clean and on the day we are checking out, their housekeeping staff came to asked if we want to clean. So, I don't think they have a good system of tracking.

IntercityBerlin Hauptbahnhof (a brand of H Rewards, Germany) is a new, modern, and comfortable 4-star hotel located near Berlin Hbf train station (180 meters, a 3-minute walk). The hotel is very clean, tidy, organized, and well-maintained. The bedrooms are spacious, clean, beautiful, and warm. The breakfast restaurant is located on the ground floor, near the Reception desk. The breakfast selection is extensive and varied. The fruit juices and coffee are delicious. Note: (1) The hotel does not automatically clean rooms, but only upon guest request (ordered via the app). (2) Luggage storage at the hotel before Check-In time and after Check-Out time is not free; a fee will be charged per hour and based on the number and size of luggage items. (3) Following the trend in the European hotel industry in recent years, this hotel does not provide toothbrushes, toothpaste, or shampoo; nor does it provide a kettle and small tea and coffee packets in the room. Therefore, you must prepare for yourself in advance. There's a noteworthy offer: Upon check-in, ask the Reception desk and you'll be provided with a free public transport pass (for various modes of transport) in Berlin (all three zones A, B, C) for the full number of days you're staying at the hotel. Very convenient!

Strategic location, less than 200m from the train station. Breakfast was inclusive but I left early morning to catch a train, so grateful that the hotel staff packed some food and drinks for me.

Cons - 1. Too much of an „The Office“ vibe. The lobby and the building are very modern. However, the corridors and rooms look like they are from the early 2000s. The bathroom looks especially sad. Pros + 1. Great location. You can buy groceries and eat at the train station (This works even on Sunday in Germany). 2. Also, it is very easy to get to any part of Berlin. 3. Delicious breakfast. The food is very varied and tasty. Wonderful staff. Special thanks to the hotel staff and managers. They were very understanding of our special situation. Thank you.

Very strategic location, just approx. 5 minutes walk from the Berlin Central Station. The room was clean and nice. Enjoyed our stay here.
