We booked this hotel by accident, intending to book the Classik Hotel Alexander Plaza. Reeeaaally wish we got that one right. Started out by not recieving pre-check in info by mail for everyone. When we arrived, the lobby smelled of overripe fruit and was full of fruit flies. No employees to be seen, and the check in-computers did not work. Tried calling but were not successful. Eventually one friendly but seemingly confused kitchen employee turned up and was able to tell us that check in was closed until 15:00, and that the machines had been broken for days (no info of this unless you ask, though). Then kept asking if we were checking out. As we then needed to store luggage until 15:00 we checked out their storage lockers, where 1/3 was occupied, 1/3 broken, and 1/3 too small for our luggage. We were told by said employee that he and another employee who was there would handle our check in and store our luggage until we got back, but was unable to tell us where. He ensured us it would be ok and that he would be there when we got back. We decided to head out and when we got back, to no surprise no one was there. Eventually two completely different employees turned up, who were also fully confused, running around like headless chickens, one of them not even in uniform. They had no clue about our rooms, the luggage we stored or the employees we talked to, and seemed to get annoyed when we kept asking where they put our luggage. When they eventually were able to manually check us in they could for some reason only produce 4 room cards for 7 people, and one of them was marked for the wrong room. When we got to our rooms luckily the luggage was there but no one seemed to know this until we got there. Bedroom itself was ok, but rooms all overlook a noisy, busy tram stop and a sex shop. Water bottle and glasses were dirty, as was the shower which was also full of black mold and silverfish. Beware that for a two night stay there will be no housekeeping, no towel service or emptying bins. Breakfast was minimal and just ok. Floors were incredibly dirty and sticky. Checking out only 2/4 rooms had gotten the check out info on email so we eventually gave up, left our cards and left. What a bummer that this is what we ended up with for a special celebratory family trip. Won't ever come back here.
