Reviews of Hotel Eckstein

This is a dorm, not a real hotel is you want to be fancy. My room has a small bed reminding me of college dormitory. The room is also very tiny for a single slim person, so be aware of these to avoid frustration. The bathroom is basic and it is better to bring your own shampoo, conditioner and bath gel because I only find a small single use package of shampoo. Since I have my own, no further replacement was made during my staying. Morning breakfast is simple and basic. One more very important thing, I experienced a late night/very early morning noise because the insulation is too poor. I believe that the whole building heard the noise and the makers did not seem to be distracted from doing it...

The hotel is sparsely equipped; the vending machine was out of water. I also think €3.50 is too much for Bonaqa. Breakfast was okay, just the usual. The coffee had been brewed for a while and was lukewarm.

The room was clean enough. There was a refrigerator in the room but there was no plug provided. There were small packets of liquid soap and shampoo. There was also toilet paper left on the spool for single use but no refills. You had to go down and ask the reception downstairs. In the summer, I got a room on the fifth floor. It was scorching hot. The bathroom smelled musty. If I didn't come at night and only stayed for one night, I would have asked to change. If you look at the condition of the room, it's not worth it. The room costs over a hundred but the condition is only twenty. If I come again, I'd rather find a room somewhere else.

Shocking hotel. Do not stay here. Old beds, loud guests returning at 11pm drunk. Old bathroom, the curtains don't even close. Annoyed that the event organisers booked this place. Very poor value for money. Stay elsewhere. The area and place is just strange, like something from the 60s. Walls and thin and you can even hear when someone opens a tap in another room.

La peor experiencia de mi vida. No quieren modificar la reserva si hay algún cambio (aún con anticipación)… No hubo agua caliente ni explicaciones, la calefacción no funcionaba (4 días bañandome con agua fria y 5°C afuera), no hay artículos de tocador en la habitación, la cama era increíblemente incómoda, y un largo etcéteras de lo que está mal… Solo me quedé aquí por el poco tiempo de aviso que tenía para ir a Berlín. Si encuentras a alguien en recepción y de suerte habla otro idioma que no sea solo Alemán, te contestan de mala forma y no te resuelven nada. ¡Cero estrellas!
