Solitaire Hotel

A really nice, quality hotel. Comfortable rooms and with an excellent selection at breakfast time. My room also contained a fridge and microwave which was a huge bonus. Added to that, the room also had a balcony. The greenery hanging down in the atrium is something to see and gives the hotel a calm and quiet atmosphere. Amazingly, the hotel also has it's own picture gallery, which is a considerable size, in the basement. I had seem some comment that the hotel was a bit of a trek from the train station but I found it quite a reasonable walk. Not that long at all. There is also a bus from the station, if feeling lazy. There are also a lot of trees on the walk with other walks leading off in different directions. It is like being in a quiet suburb of Berlin, with good train and bus connections. This was my first stay at the Solitaire Hotel and I was very impressed with what I found. I plan to return in 2026.

Excellent budget option Fantastic for a budget hotel. Large comfortable room with a good sized-bathroom and powerful shower. The included breakfast was of a good quality, and a typical German-style spread. The hotel is situated a little way out of the city itself, but can be found in a quiet and pleasant area with excellent transport links.
