Hotels near Jewish Museum Berlin in Berlin

This hotel is an ideal residential neighbourhood, but also central to many attractions. Seconds from Liebeskind’s Jewish Museum, a short walk to Potsdamer Platz, etc. Superb breakfast, tidy modern rooms and excellent staff. Very comfortable and user friendly across all criteria. I would stay here again any time. Quiet street for the centre of Berlin.

Breakfast was really good (especially considering standard German -level), and the room was really nice and had an excellent view, especially because we got a free upgrade for our room due to fully booked hotel situation. We also liked the location, for example a Michelin star restaurant ”Nobelhart & Schmutzig” was nearby, to which we were able to get a table. But if you are looking for the best parties and some ”queer -action”, you might want to check out a place to stay a bit closer to the Kreuzberg center. It's approx. 20-30 minutes walk from the hotel. The only small criticism comes from the Bathroom lighting. If you need to go to the bathroom during the night, be prepared to be blinded by the lighting - there's no option to put on a dimmer nightlight. No biggie though. Also, we did not try the Spa -area, so cannot comment on that.

There is a parking lot nearby, but I do n’t have a car rental so it is not very clear, but there are good Chinese restaurants nearby. The satisfaction with this room is beyond my expectation, it is very spacious, and there are sofas and armchairs to make light meals by yourself. The heating and hot water supply is sufficient. Berlin is very cold these days. When I go out to take a hot bath, my body is warming up, especially comfortable. The hotel staff was very nice. It is also close to many attractions, and the transportation is very convenient. It is only 20 minutes to the central station. It is highly recommended for friends who want to visit Berlin. Also, did I say that the WIFI signal here is super good ...

The front desk was very welcoming, smoking together and helping to find slippers. The hotel is also very good, spacious, and the transportation is very convenient. Bus 200 and U line are both close. If you come to Berlin next time, I will stay here again. The price/performance ratio is really good.

This is a modern functional hotel (which we booked via BA holidays) apparently popular for conferences, so you get the picture. Four of us went for a city break. The hotel is well situated within easy walking distance of Gendarmenmarkt. Spittelmart U-bahn is 2 minutes away. Easy and welcoming check-in. Our rooms were comfortable and spacious. The bathroom had an excellent walk-in shower although the wash basin had the depth of a birdbath. What was surprising was the amount of wasted space in the bedroom with a great void between the bed and the door which could have been used for some proper drawers and shelves. As it was, there was only 1 drawer and 3 shelves, one of which was useful only if you were 2 metres tall (see photo). The wardrobe, if you could call it that, was an open hanging space, but it was situated at right angles to a padded seat (see photo) making accessibility difficult and there was only one chair in the room. Tea-making facilities were available but instant coffee only and powdered milk. We used to take a small jug of milk from breakfast and keep it in the fridge. There was a very good and comprehensive breakfast with just about everything one could want. As a morning tea drinker I cannot comment on the coffee which came from a machine, but there was an excellent selection of leaf teas. The hot food was OK, but nothing cooked to order so that eggs were either warm scrambled or hard boiled. Staff were very helpful and dishes promptly refilled. We didn’t use the restaurant for dinner as the menu looked pretty basic but there are restaurants within walking distance. All in all, nothing special but I would still recommend it for a short stay.

This hotel has 5 room types, i booked an Executive apartment, which if the second top room type. I am a solo traveller, but liked the room layout and the extra space. I checked in on 30/03/22 for 3 nights and was allocated room 107. On opening the door i immediately thought it did not exactly resemble the pics i had seen for an Executive Apartment, it was big enough, but just not what i was expecting. The kitchen area was locked up with a shutter over it, which i thought strange. I literally just in the room for 5 minutes and went out exploring. I checked with reception about the kitchen being looked and they asked if i wanted it unlocked to use, yes, that's why i booked that room type, the fridge with freezer compartment for ice and cold drinks. I came back about 5 hours later and the kitchen was indeed unlocked. I was going to shower and looked for the bath robe and slippers which should be in the room, but nothing was there. it was at this point i was sure this was not the room type i had booked. I checked on my phone and looking at the specifications was sure i had been given the wrong room type. I went to reception to enquire and spoke to the duty manager, he printed off 2 pages to show the difference between an Executive Apartment and an Apartment (the top room type), although the same pics had been used to advertise both room types, there were some differences and he stated that my room was larger than most in the hotel. I was still unsure, but accepted what he said and i collected a bathrobe and slippers, the reason they are not already in the room was due to ongoing Covid restrictions. I still felt that i was in the room room type, it was large, but a lot of the room was taken up by a wet room, which was adapted for a wheelchair user and this made the room an awkward space with a lot of dead space. As it turned out, my flight home was cancelled and i ended up staying only 2 nights, so didn't pursue things further. On returning home i checked the room specifications on the website and room 107 is not up to the specifications advertised or as soon in the pics. two main reasons. 1) Executive Apartments have a sofa/sofa bed and can sleep up to 3 people, room 107 had no sofa/sofa bed and this room could only sleep 2 people max. 2) Executive Apartments have a separate seating area, a table and chairs where you can sit and eat, this is clearly shown in the pics too. This was not in room 107. The only seating was a chair at the desk and one other chair. I think room 107 is a superior room adapted for a wheelchair user, but was given to me as i was a solo traveller and dd not need the capacity to sleep 3. I wanted the sofa/sofa bed to sit on and relax, that's why i booked a room with that in it. I am only writing this review, as 3 emails have gone unanswered, one to novum hotels 10/04/22 and two direct to the hotel 12/04/22 and 20/04/22. My main consideration for any hotel is the LOCATION, NEIGHBOURHOOD & PRICE. This hotel is very near to metro, easily accessible & walkable to major sites. It is very near to Gendarmenmarkt. There are many restaurants & convenient stores in the vicinity. We felt safe in the neighbourhood when we were outside late night. Based on the many reviews, i chose the 226 sq ft room, spacious enough for us, a couple w 2 large luggage. It was quiet even though the room was facing the main road. The room, shower & toilet were clean & functional. The room cleaned & towel changed daily. I would stay here again if I return to Berlin.

Location: The location is the prime advantage if you wish to visit Berlin. All the attractions are easily accessible with Bus/S-Bahn/U-Bahn. So full marks for this. Breakfast: For vegeterians, was plenty to choose from. So we are happy with it. Ofcourse for non-vegeterians, maybe bit disappointing as there was no omlett/Wursts/HotDogs etc which you least expect. Staff: Overall good, except one incidence. A Guy with specs, from the kitchen area, talked rudely with us as we were taking photos of the food. He could have talked politely which is the first and utmost thing you expect in Germany. Other than him the all other staff members were good. ROOMs: The rooms were quite small because of extra Bed. We would like to mention that we were completely disappointed with the extra bed. It was big , agree, but it looked like it was a Sofa-Bed and had very large structure which took lot of room space. Exactly the way the others have complained here. The quality of the mattress was poor. The pillow quality was as well poor for this extra bed. The double bed was big enough but the qulity of the mattress can be better. Cleanliness: The room was in general clean except that certain areas needed immediate attention. For example the iron-pad had dust layers so decided not to use it at all. The toilet seat was from outside clean but the inner side was unattended and hence not clean enough. Next day the room service cleaned up the room but it was also not perfect. They only made the bedsheets. They did not bother to once clean the surface of bedsheets. Which we immediately noticed. Which is not expected from room service.

good point Walking distance to major tourist attractions well cleaned and clean Laundry (washing and drying) can be done for 5 euros bad point There is no kitchen and no place to wash water bottles etc. dark corridor Elevator is narrow Hairdryers can be rented without a deposit. There is no kitchen, but there is a water server next to the reception. Other word of mouth said that there was noise, but I didn't feel it. Wasn't there a group of students staying? Maybe luck. It's a large hostel, so I think it would be difficult if the toilet and bathroom were in a far room. This is also luck.

Stayed for 4 nights in September 2022. The location of the hotel is ideal, being both quiet enough to relax but also close to all the sights. 3 minutes walk from the S-Bahn station and 5 minutes from the U-Bahn. The room was a good size. Comfortable bed, large TV with super picture. Big bathroom with powerful shower and a bath. Immaculately clean. The black out curtains were very useful to shut out the early morning light. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room (I just wish they would leave more tea bags rather than 1 of each type!) There was also a safe in the room. Buffet breakfast selection was brilliant, and the food was of a good quality. The staff at breakfast were very friendly and efficient. There was nothing too formal, just a nice environment all round. Good value for money and ticked every box for our stay. Thoroughly recommend.
