Hotels near S-Bahn Friedrichstr Railway Station, Berlin

We reserved the smallest room (comfort) and immediately realized that we would need to upgrade to the superior room. I am traveling with my aunt and we need 2 beds. The comfort room was so small that the 2 beds were together with little space to move on the sides. It was not suitable for us. The pictures do show all the twin beds together, but naturally we assumed that they could be separated. When we asked about changing rooms, the delightful woman at the front desk (Victoria) graciously offered to show us the options available for the bigger rooms. We viewed the executive and superior rooms and were happy to pay the 15 Euro more for the superior room. Well worth the extra money given the difference in size. Now that we were settled with our room, we were off to explore Berlin. The location of this hotel is ideal. I learned that Mitte means center and surely this hotel is centrally located. Easy to find and easy to get to/ from. A special thank you to Victoria and her colleague at the front desk. We were very pleased with our experience at the Leonardo Berlin Mitte and would recommend to others.

I was able to stay there without any problems with air conditioning or showers. There are quite a lot of guests staying at the hotel, and the entrances and exits can get crowded (on nights when everyone is drinking). The staff were cheerful and responded immediately when I told them I had a problem with the lock. Kind. If you rent towels etc., it will be a little expensive.

Originally set the main fire, the result was closed because of the epidemic, and changed to this one. The surrounding area is quite quiet, the front desk uncle is also very good in English, and the room is clean. But not very comfortable is the waiter started cleaning in the early morning, the vacuum cleaner is particularly loud, and even opened directly before 9 o'clock... check-out time at 11 noon, check-in time at 2 pm, is it necessary to clean so urgently?

The room was too hot to sleep and the aircon didn't work. We had to sleep with the window wide open but was woken up at 7am by the window cleaner. As it was so hot I had no covers on so it was pretty shocking to wake up to him practically inside the room. The hotel really need to warn guests when the windows are being cleaned. We were here for the marathon but got zero sleep as it was so hot and stuffy. On check out day the cleaners entered our room 4 times this was really annoying. The location was really good that was the only positive.

The room facilities are very good, the bathroom floor is heated, the wet clothes can be dried quickly in the bathroom, the hotel room window sill is soundproof, although on the side of the road, but there is no sound after closing the window, there is a cruise ship on the riverside of the hotel. Divided into 3 hours and 1 hour, half an hour, you can take a boat to look around the attractions, save the feet, with a Chinese broadcaster to explain all the information, that is, the kettle needs 5 euro service fee, but Europe travels Water is not cheap, with a water glass, you can save a lot of money. Hotel breakfast costs 25 euros, go left and go 100 meters to have a subway station, breakfast can be where to solve, eat everything, not worse than the hotel. The hotel has a restaurant that is 5 meters left and has a restaurant. The steak is very difficult to eat. If you want to eat, don't order 250 grams. It's too thick. It's 180 grams. It's a little thin. There is a salad buffet. You can also go right and cross the bridge. The first restaurant is an Italian pizza, which is very difficult to eat. It is ok to cross the bridge and turn left to several restaurants by the river. The Berlin subway is hard to understand. Unlike China, there are often several lines in the station that stop, so be sure to see the vehicle information.

It is very close to Museum Island and it is convenient to visit the museum. The service is more stylized and not too welcoming. It is close to the business district, there are many restaurants and shopping malls, and it is also close to the train station.

Beautiful 5-star hotel located in the heart of Berlin, from which you can go everywhere on foot (Brandenburg Gate at 900 meters, for example). Very complete breakfast, which does not lack a single detail. Maria deserves a special mention, a very kind person who made our stay infinitely more pleasant. Because of its location, services and staff like María, a clear candidate to repeat😊😊😊👏👏👏👏

Decent hostel, relatively clean and facilities are good. Location is good has a tram and metro stop right outside. Only downside is upon arrival 3/4 of the locks didn’t work in our rooms so we had to get reception to fix. However, they were very efficient and felled straight away. Also to note that reception normally only has one staff member on so you might be waiting a while to be seen to

Honestly I don't like to leave bad reviews but I really don't have a choice here. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere our experience here was really poor. Where to begin, I originally booked two single rooms with a friend who cancelled. I took my boyfriend instead. I checked on the website and they had double rooms advertised to book for our dates. I contacted the hotel to ask to change to a double room I was informed to do this through booking.com. I called via booking.com who contacted the hotel whilst I waited on hold. The person informed me the hotel stated there were no Double rooms despite them being advertised on the website. I called on 3 occasions to try and change to a double pod however each time was Informed I cannot because none were available despite the fact each time they had them available to book on the website. When we arrived I enquired one last time and was told I could not do this as there were no double pods. Then miraculously moments later the man behind the desk found one, I was informed I would need to rebook and pay for this room and they couldn't let us swap the booking. This wasn't a good start and I found this really dishonest. The staff in general are very rude and dismissive. I usually enjoy staying in hostels and I am very used to budget accommodation and I am willing to make allowances when things are cheap but there is absolutely no sort of hostel type vibe no friendliness, and no common room to meet people or anywhere to sit or relax in the hostel. Honestly it's more of a morgue type vibe. I didn't have high hopes for the hotel as we made our way there it was not easy to reach via public transport from the airport we had to take 3 different trains. From the station you walk past a street that has a sort of homeless camp set up with mattresses on the pavement. We witnessed drug use as we walked past these guys too. As a woman I would not have stayed here if I didn't have my boyfriend with me as I genuinely would not have felt safe in the area around the hotel. The building you enter is dilapidated and it is difficult to find as it does not look like somewhere a hostel/hotel would be. The escalators are broken and not easy to climb, they are covered in cigarette and joint butts and at night this area smells very strongly of ****. Once you get past this I will say the actual inside of the place is better and it is cleaner. The concept of the hotel is bizarre and doesn't really work in my personal opinion. The pods are cramped and too hot. They are not easy to climb in and out of at all. Mine was actually broken and the plastic was starting to snap at the door which was also very annoying. The lockers we were provided were broken and we were never given different ones. The person who designed this place was far too Interested in the concept of a themed hotel rather than actual function of it for customers. The lockers are in an entirely different area so if you want to keep your stuff in a locke

We spent a few days in the Gottfried suite and it was amazing, very comfortable bed, kitchenette, big bath and bigger shower. Also a set of bunk beds although we didn't need them. A 5/10 minute walk from station with S and U Bahn trains along many restaurants and shops. We only has the hotel breakfast on the first day as although it had an excellent selection it wasn't quite what we wanted, but as we had the kitchenette we were easily able to do our own. Room had both kettle and Nespresso machine so spoilt for choice on that front. Robes and slippers are always a sign of a classy establishment, the robes were XL but felt a little smaller than that, but that's not an issue as does the job - just had to be careful on the balcony when going there from the shower! Would happily visit again.
