Sleep Inn Bessemer Helena

This place was very nice. The room was very clean and the lady that checked us in was great. She really helped us out. My dad has a prosthetic and she gave him a stool for the shower. And even made us more sausage when they ran out. This was a way better stay than what we had just come from.

This was a much needed rest from a really difficult week. Our stay here was much too short, I wish now we had stayed at least another night. Our booking was for a ”spa suite” and the room lived up to its name quite well. The highlight of this room was the jetted spa tub located just behind a set of louvered swinging shutters and very clean. But ive stayed in other rooms similar to this but this room had an additional spa like shower that was Open to the rest of the bathroom. Very unique and very spa like. We were staying at the hotel after closing on a new home. The home needed some work and I wasn't comfortable staying there till the work was done. The front desk personnel were really quite nice and very efficient. The exact service you would expect from a Marriott property. The only drawback to the hotel was the fitness center was closed, but thats a Covid - 19 effect that hotels just cannot ignore.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Bessemer during a road trip south. The hotel is located just off of Rt. 59 and next to other hotel chains between a gas station and a Cracker Barrell restaurant, typical road side hotel. The exterior of the hotel is weathered and could use a serious upgrade. The interior of the lobby is better but the rooms are old and dated. Feels like they started an upgrade but never made it to the guest rooms. It is a very average hotel, nothing to cheer about but nothing to worry about either. The free breakfast was pretty good, as far as hotel breakfast goes.

Beautiful and super clean hotel. Honestly was surprise how nice and clean it was. Definitely the best holiday inn I’ve stayed in.

Although the property looks nice in photos, and it has been fairly recently updated, the work done is pretty shoddy. There are parts of the floors in the rooms that don't line up, leaving gaps between panels of the fake wood slats. Splashes of paint here and there that indicate that it was a refresh done on the cheap. But no bugs to speak of! That said, the bed was clean and comfortable, the A/C worked (but didn't really help reduce the humidity in the rooms) and the shower was passable. I wouldn't want to spend a week here but a night or two, for the price, seems about right for this area. Because of the property's age and price point, it does seem to attract a less desirable clientele than the BW next door or other hotels at this exit. If you're a Choice Rewards member looking to stay somewhere in this area on a budget, I'd actually recommend the Sleep Inn off Morgan Road on I-459 instead. It's nicer, quieter and cheaper, but still in the same hotel company's portfolio.
