Chestnut Meadow Camping

From entering the well maintained entrance into the site, you can see that this is a well cared for holiday complex. The lodges are stunning, spotlessly clean, so comfortable , with the added extra of a hot tub. Would return at a heartbeat.

We have just returned from 5 nights camping at Chestnut Meadow and we have had a fabulous time. The campsite was so quiet which was lovely. Great shop and play area for the children. One negative was that the showers really need a good clean out every day and they just didn’t get it. This was even more apparent as the site became quieter. The drains were also blocked, this meant the showers filled with water (and grass/other peoples hair etc) when you are trying to wash. We hope to return next year as the pitch sizes are really big.

Very warm and cosy cabin with hot tub. Cabin was clean had everything we needed: coffee machine, wine fridge, dishwasher, bottle opener, corkscrew. Shower gels, washing up liquid. Simon was extremely welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much for him. Could not fault and will definitely be back. Number 7 has a lovely view from the back/hot tub area also. Great value for money also, very quiet location. Pizza van on a Sunday so didn’t have to worry about cooking.

Absolutely perfect stay in lodge with hot-tub. Beautiful setting, went away with family for my birthday. Staff let my son & daughter in-law in early to decorate lodge for my birthday. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lodge had absolutely everything we needed. Highly recommend. We all loved it.

Had a superb few nights camping in the bell tent, comfortable beds, clean linen and towels provided, superb fire pit, spotless washing and toilet facilities, friendly and welcoming staff who couldn’t do enough for us. Big thank you to them. Will definitely be coming back. Kids loved it. Just what we needed.

Wonderful stay again at Chestnut Meadow .This place has a calming effect the moment you arrive. The lodges are beautifully furnished to a very high standard .The hot tub an added bonus which i enjoyed on a few occasions . The peace and quiet ,is a pure tonic watching the rabbit's and admiring the views . All the staff are so friendly and helpful special mention to Simon for helping sort out an issue with my phone . Will be back soon Thankyou again

This was one of the loveliest places I’ve stayed. The lodge was absolutely stunning, warm and clean. Hot tub was fab and well maintained. We have a wonderful stay and felt safe in site. Staff responsive and friendly. This was a wonderful place to recharge and spend time together as a family. Would come back again.

Another excellent stay at Chestnut Meadow .What a beautiful relaxing place .All of the staff so friendly and helpful. Would defiantly recommend if you want piece and quiet lovely walks and the pleasure of your own hot tub .Looking forward to our next visit

We booked a luxury lodge at Chestnut Meadow, as a base for a walk we were doing along the English Coastal Path. We had booked 2 nights, but wish we had stayed for longer. What a wonderful place. The lodge was immaculate and built to such a high standard. To sit in the hot tub with a glass of fizz was the height of extravagance... we loved it. Surrounded by countryside, and set back from the road, we loved the peace and quiet. The staff made us feel so welcome, adding to the overall experience. The big surprise, the overall cost per couple for such a great place, was far less than staying in a cheap hotel! Thanks… we will be back!
