The reception was excellent, the employee was very helpful and polite, and he upgraded the room to a suite. The service was excellent, the restaurant was very good, the food was varied, and the stay was excellent.

By the time we stayed at Occidental Taksim we had been road tripping in Turkey for six weeks so we had stayed in a lot of hotels. Occidental Taksim is perfectly located for stress free exploring of the Asian side of Istanbul. The hotel is immaculately maintained while the bed was definitely the best we’d had the pleasure of sleeping on our entire holiday. We did use the gym (it was one of my prerequisites) and as other reviewers have noted it is tiny but also the equipment does need upgrading. We also had a hamam which is operated independently which I would rate as an average experienc.

Amazing hotel, I was there for four nights with my wife and two more couples.
The location is awesome, bars and restaurants near by.
Taksim square and Istiklal 2 minutes from hotel.
I have only good words to say about this hotel. Realy enjoyed my stay there

Everything in the room is very clean, but where the kettle is, a little dust has already accumulated (most likely no one has been in the room for a long time). Everything else is perfectly clean.
Very comfortable bed with pillows. Quiet.
Very tasty breakfast - there is everything, vegetarians will also find something to eat (hot vegetables, hummus, falafel, a lot of sweet delicacies, a variety of cheeses).
The coffee from the coffee machine is mediocre.
A big minus for me: when I went to take a shower, it turned out that the shampoo in the shampoo container had run out (!) I didn’t have time to call and ask for it. This is unacceptable in my opinion. I had to wash my hair with shower gel(((. For 8500 rubles you don’t expect this.
Both the pool and spa are open from 11am. I was counting on them. And at 10 I already need to go to the airport. This was not written anywhere.
