Taksim
Levanten Hostel Cihangir is in a very close location to the Taksim Square in İstanbul. ... Taksim Square walks 3 minutes, Kabataş coast 3 minutes, if you want to walk again Beşiktaş coast and market 22 minutes You can also reach ... The kitchen with common use areas, is also inside the Levanten Hostel, and there are bares and seats in the coral colour, a very hot and house-decorated lobby, The toilets and shower areas are continuously cleaning. There are rooms with bathrooms, I would like to take and load photos from the bathroom, but because there are sleepers and because I think it wouldn't be nice to share their photos without permission of people, it's just empty for you for now. I shared photos from sections .....The kitchen is quite clean and hygienic, everyone who is open to use and hosts washing their dishes by washing their own dishes inside and in respect of a community lifestyle. Rooms are very clean, laundry and kitchen boxes not as well as other hostels say holes .... Workers are laughing and helpful people ...

Taksim
Hello everyone! Just yesterday I returned from Istanbul, where I first stayed in the Taksim area ... if you want parties and fun until the morning, you are here ... but at the same time the hotel where I stayed Grand Hotel Palmiye is a little away from the noisy but at the same time fantastically lively streets of Istiklal. The hotel is not large but cozy, there is an elevator, which is not present in that district. I was met by a wonderful Receptionist - Murat (huge hello to him), the check-in was quick and without delay ... About the room: I ordered a room with a balcony - small one and you must understand that in this area of old houses there will be only French balconies; the cleaning was done every day with the replacement of towels (and they did not bother and came later if I was in the room during the cleaning). Somehow everything turns out sweetly ... aha ha ha ... a couple of downsides - old plumbing and poor breakfast. About breakfast: minimal - but by the way you won't stay hungry ... In general, the Grand Hotel Palmiye has everything to see beautiful Istanbul, walk along the old streets and, of course, relax and gain strength for the next day. Excellent staff will always help you answer your questions and provide possible services.

Taksim
Absolutely the worst hotel experience that I have ever had. I travel for a living and have stayed in all kinds of hotels all over the world but this one is the worst. I took my wife for a 4 night vacation in Istanbul and booked this hotel because of its close proximity to Taksim Square. Firstly it may be near to Taksim Square but it is down a very steep hill and getting up to the level of Taksim may well be a problem if you are not fit. Secondly the cleaning of the room was non existent, for the 5 days we were there the room wasn't cleaned once and towels/bedding wasn't changed. The absolute worst part was the air conditioning, every night we went to bed and it was working but we woke during the night because of the extreme heat to find that all electricity to the room was cut off. I went down to the reception to tell them and they switched it back on. On the second and third nights this happened several times until they finally admitted on the third night that because of complaints from the neighbours they were cutting the power to the room while we were asleep. When we arrived back at the hotel on night 3 we found that they had turned off the AC and removed the remote control for it so that we couldn't switch it on. I went down to reception to demand that they give me back the remote contol which they did but the whole situation was very unsavoury. I will never stay here again and would advise anybody else to avoid this place at all costs.
