Nansc Hotel

I recently stayed at this hotel, which is truly one of the best in the city. However, the location isn't very attractive to foreign tourists, as there's little tourism in the area. Despite this, the hotel offers some interesting amenities, especially if you plan to visit Lumbini, which is about 20 kilometers away. The room I stayed in was fine, but nothing special. There was some wear on the cabinets and fixtures, giving it a look of need for renovation. The flooring also showed signs of wear. As for breakfast, according to the hotel's website, it's offered as a buffet. However, since there weren't many guests during my stay, that type of breakfast wasn't provided. This was quite frustrating, as things were offered piecemeal. You'd be offered coffee or tea first, then asked if you wanted fruit, then yogurt or toast. This process made what could have been a 15-minute breakfast feel considerably longer. Despite these inconveniences, the staff was quite attentive. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful. They provided us with a taxi to visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Buddha, as well as another taxi for our transfer to the airport. However, we had a very unpleasant experience with the rooms. In our first room, where we were initially told we would be staying, a salamander or lizard appeared mid-afternoon. We complained, and they moved us to a second room where there was supposed to be no problem, but before we went to sleep, a lizard appeared again. But the next day, as soon as dawn broke, the same thing happened again for the third time. Another lizard appeared in our room. It came out of the closets and hid behind the TV in the holes for the connecting cables. The truth is, it didn't matter anymore because we were about to leave the hotel. The staff explained that they had a problem with the lizards and that they would inform the owner to try to resolve it. I find it shocking that we had the same problem in three different rooms; This can't be a supposedly four-star hotel. In short, although the hotel has some room for improvement and shows some wear, it's still a reasonable option in the city if you're looking for comfort and access to Lumbini. However, the situation with the lizards is unacceptable for a property of its category.
