Traditional japanese style hotel where you can enjoy the tatami living room. The room that we booked was huge and worth the price. However after we enjoyed the onsen of Daiichi takimotokan at Noboribetsu, the onsen at this Biei place was just standard, just like those public onsen place where you can see from movie. But we really love the hotel room.

We wanted to visit Shirogane, hence we chose the few hotels there. We settled on this one because of room availability and the guarantee that it was non-smoking. The hotel is old, but it's like all the other hotels in this area. We enjoyed the osen (especially the outdoor setting), which turned out to be free (as opposed to what was reflected on Trip.com website); we confirmed with the hotel before we arrived that this was indeed the case. Great that breakfast and dinner were included as there are very few other choices in this area.

This time, I came into Asahikawa Airport and was planning to stay only in Asahikawa, Otaru, and Sapporo, but I heard that Biei Furano is difficult because of the tour tourists, and that the birch tree next to the Seven Star Tree was cut down, and that most of the locals rarely benefit from the tourists because they are one-day tours, so I intentionally included this place as a place to stay, and I was very satisfied! First of all, I wondered if it would be easy for a backpacker like me, but there is a city bus from Asahikawa Terminal (Stop 9 - same as the airport stop) to Shirokawa Onsen (White Beard Falls) (1,650 yen), and if you just cross the road in front of the entrance, it is right here, so it was easier and more convenient to move than the accommodation right below the slope, dragging the luggage on the icy road! Also, I heard that there is a shuttle from Biei, and Asahikawa has one too~ When I went from Asahikawa to Biei via, I missed the Biei shuttle time and took the city bus, but when I went back after checking out, I took the shuttle bus, which was convenient and free, so it was great! English or Japanese service is available upon check-in, but Korean service is not available, so please use the translator (Papago). The free shuttle to the Cheongui Lake Illumination the day before at 7:25 was great, and it was also great that the shuttle went to Biei Station and Asahikawa Station! (Since it is shared with Yumoto guests and the starting point is this hotel, there is an added advantage of being able to sit comfortably wherever you want.) The lobby floor smelled like sulfur when I went to Kurokawa or Arima Onsen, so I thought it was a real hot spring and my heart raced, and it was just as good as expected~ In addition to the basic amenities, there were moisture white cream, glucosamine cream, hair treatment, hot spring water cream, cotton swabs, scalp tonic, face pack, and cleansing wash, so it was really good~ The spa seems to change once a day, but the bath on the right is large and the open-air bath is small, and the bath on the left is small and the open-air bath is large, so it was a different kind of fun~ (Before check-out, I was the last guest, so I quickly took a picture of the open-air bath to let you know about this great place!) The lobby, restaurant, and shuttle staff were all very kind, and for this price, the buffet dinner and buffet breakfast were great! In particular, I ate steak, shrimp, and squid for dinner, which was so filling and delicious! I've had a lot of kaiseki meals, but I personally prefer buffets, and I enjoyed everything from the appetizers to the main menu and dessert! I stayed alone in the room, but a 3-person room was on sale for the cheapest price when I stayed, so I stayed in that room. It was spacious and comfortable, and I could see the snow-covered mountains and trees outside! The bathroom was small, but there was a large bath, so I only used it for the bathroom, so it wasn't too inconvenient! (But there was only a toothbrush, comb, and soap!) The bed was a little hard with springs, and the blanket was cozy. I didn't use it in the room, but there was a manual neck massager and back scratcher, which were nice~ The road to Whitebeard Falls at night is also well-lit, so I took the Cheongui Lake shuttle to see the illumination, got off at Yumoto, saw the night view, and came back, and the route was perfect~ Please refer to it! Everything was good, but one thing that was disappointing was that the heating didn't come on after 11pm, so people who are sensitive to cold might feel a little coldㅜ I went to see the night view, went to the hot springs, and came back after 11pm, and the heater didn't turn on, so I was flustered and searched for reviews and found outㅜ There were extra blankets and pillows on top of the yukata~ I stayed alone, so I slept comfortably with two blankets, but if you're staying here, please take note! Also, there's a story about water bottles in the article below, but in Japan, in places with good water quality, like rural villages, there are many cases where people refrain from using disposable water for the sake of the environment! The saying "When in Rome, do as the Romans do" comes to mind! Each country has different lifestyles and cultures, so it's a shame to have such a bad ratingㅜ As someone who personally enjoys traveling to Japan, I'm leaving a detailed review for those who missed out on this gem~ I went there 100% with my own money! The hotel is relatively remote, but there are scenic spots nearby, such as the Blue Pond. The room is very small, and so is the toilet, there is only room for one person, and the toilet has no exhaust and is not ventilated. The heater in the room was probably old and was very noisy, making a lot of noise when walking upstairs. The good thing is that the breakfast is good.

The hotel is a bit old, the hot spring bathhouse is very old, and the pool has a black and yellow color. It feels a bit scary when I take a bath alone at night. Breakfast and dinner were the same for both days. However, it is very close to the Platinum Pool.

The room is big, but the hotel is old. It is a traditional Japanese hotel. It is suitable for experiencing Japanese hot springs. Few Chinese people come to this hotel. My partner and I like to travel independently, so we chose to stay in Biei for one more day. Those who like to take it slow can walk to the Platinum Unfrozen Spring. The scenery on the way is very beautiful and there are few people.

To be honest, the environment and the hot spring are very good. The outside soup is also standard milky snow. It is also recommended by the Hokkaido Tourism website. The price is worth it. In addition, you can book a pick-up from Asahikawa or Biei, which is free. Just contact Ctrip customer service to make an appointment for you. PS: There are almost no restaurants in the area. Either the hotel is self-service (250 per person), or go there after eating.

Wow, I stayed in room 402, but I couldn't sleep because there was a constant banging noise except for a few hours lol. When I asked if it was okay for a 380,000 won room to be like this, they didn't even understand and just left without being able to sleep. Never go there.

The scenery outside the window is very good. You can see Rizhao Jinshan (Mount Biei and Mt. Tokachi at sunset) from the room. The facilities are not bad except for the old bathroom. Breakfast and dinner for three people (a very common banquet meal) only costs 1,000 RMB. It also includes free pick-up and drop-off from Asahikawa Station and free pick-up and drop-off from Aoike in the evening. It is very cost-effective. The waiters also answered all questions and were eager to help. The most special experience was soaking in an open-air hot spring in the heavy snow the next morning, just like the Hokkaido macaques

The hotel is a traditional hot spring hotel with facilities including a large bath and an open-air bath. Unfortunately, the water in the open-air bath is not hot enough. The hotel is under renovation and the breakfast location should be more beautiful in the future. It is worth mentioning that the hotel has a special car to pick you up to see the green pond lights up.

The hot springs and food in the hotel are good. The best arrangement is that the hotel has a car to pick us up in the evening to see the scenery of Qingchi under the lights at night.
