Guest House KO-Z Daya ★★

📍 Komplek Ruko Pasar Grosir Daya Modern (PAGODAM) - Jl. Parumpa, Blok RD-15/16, Daya, Biringkanaya, Kota, Daya, Biringkanaya

"The room wasn’t very clean, and the bathroom door was broken. However, we really want to thank the man who was working in the evening. He barely spoke English, but he was incredibly helpful and kind. Had it not been for him, we would have missed our bus to Tana Toraja! The location is also convenient, as it’s close to the bus terminal."

Arawa Traveller's Inn Makassar - Hostel ★★

📍 Jl. Perintis Kemerdekaan, Pai, Kec. Biringkanaya, Kota, Pai, Biringkanaya

"When we checked inn for few hours transit, We noticed straight away that the room was dirty, the door and window was broken, the pillow case and linens dirty with stains, marks and bad smells. It’s very obvious the room and beds was used by previous customers but they didn’t changed the linens and also Plenty mosquito inside the room. My 10 years old son and I couldn’t have a rest by constantly bitten by mosquitos. I had to called reception to get linens changed and spray the room. Few hours after checked out reception called us to checked about their TV remote control which they didn’t provided and we couldn’t find anywhere inside the room when we checked in. Worst experience and not worth the money. Will not recommend this place and definitely won’t be back 👎🏽👎🏽"

Good Deal and Homey 1Br Tamansari Skylounge Makassar Apartment ★★★

📍 Tower B FL10 #2 Jl. Poros Bandara Baru, Sudiang, Biringkanaya

"I booked this place because it was near the airport and had a kitchen, so I thought I could prepare a meal. The room facilities were clean and nice. The only problem is that the building is still under construction. You have to pass through what looks like a construction site to enter. It's not a formal hotel, but rather a construction company operating an unsold space, so the check-in process and other operations are shaky. I'm not sure if this is my experience, but it's a bit of a mess. Furthermore, when I said I didn't have a cash deposit and they don't accept cards, a person next to me gave it to me for me, but they didn't return it when I checked out. They told me to wait a week because the person who made the reservation and the person who paid the deposit weren't the same person. Hahaha. This is truly unbelievable."

"As usual, the staff (especially Randy, Tira, Rezky, and Aziza) were very professional, friendly, always polite, greeting, and helpful. The hotel lobby and rooms were very clean. However, there was an unpleasant incident on August 7th. My wife and I were quietly enjoying lunch in the restaurant, but the atmosphere became uncomfortable due to the joking and conversation of four hotel staff members, whom we were informed were from Sales and HR. They were joking loudly and noisily, showing no regard or respect for hotel guests. Do they think that as hotel staff, they can behave inappropriately in a four-star hotel? It seemed like they thought they were in a casual eatery and could act that way. I hope such incidents do not happen again, as they can tarnish the image of other staff members who work hard to maintain the hotel's good reputation."

"The room was clean and tidy. Although it wasn't huge, it was perfectly functional. Breakfast was included, and they offered airport shuttle service. I'd recommend contacting them via WhatsApp beforehand. The hotel is only about 5km from the airport, so it's a quick and convenient 10-minute drive."
