We stayed in this hotel after a cricket game. We were happily on the balcony and I was watching a young mum with her children in the play area when I saw 3 youths in hoodies creeping towards her and her handbag which she wasn't watching. I shouted to warn her. Next thing I knew there were 20+ youths in hoodies running up the stairs attacking me and my husband. We gave a good account of ourselves but we were never going to win. Luckily we were saved by the hotel manager who hoiked us in the door. He then said he would let us have some food but after that we had to go to our room and stay there until the next day because there was a drug lord who lived in the hotel and they were his runners. Do not book this hotel

Was very happy to book this Travelodge again as I have stayed here before. The staff are always so friendly and cheerful, and go out their way to help with anything. Room was spotless and clean I always have a good breakfast here, with plenty to fill anybody’s appetite I even made use of the £5 pound gym pass from reception,, I just walk a few yards and I was there enjoying the well equipped gym and swimming pool. A big thank you to the travelodge team for a great stay.
