The location is great, but there was an event downstairs over the weekend, and people were shouting and singing until past 1 AM, which woke me up. I can't believe how noisy it was, even on the 18th floor – the soundproofing on the windows must be terrible. On top of that, the air conditioning smelled really bad. It was only 2°C outside, so we needed the heating, but with that awful smell, we couldn't use it. We ended up freezing all night, sigh.

The hotel was walking distance to Grand Central Station. Shops and restaurants were also walking distance. Perfect location. The hotel itself was very big. Huge rooms and tea/coffee facility with mini fridge and locker. Bathroom had small toiletries available. The lobby had a huge seating area, bar and a restaurant. It was beautifully decorated. The Spa had loungers and was quiet in there. Although the steam room was small we managed to get in each time. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. We were able to leave our bags on day of checkout for few hours, which was very handy.. The prices at the bar were reasonable and the dessert was a very generous portion too. Overall really enjoyed staying there. Will definitely come back again.

The rooms were very clean, tidy, and comfortable. We particularly loved the quality of the bedding; all my friends agreed it was excellent and very comfortable, and everyone really enjoyed their sleep. Highly recommend!

Excellent stay at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham. The staff were warm, professional, and attentive, the room was spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, and the location was perfect for exploring the city. Breakfast was excellent with a great selection, and the facilities were well maintained. Outstanding service and hospitality throughout—we would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it.
