5 stars. Exceptionally clean room, outstanding staff and an unbeatable location. Everything you need is within walking distance and the surrounding shops and amenities make it the perfect spot. Friendly people throughout and an altogether excellent stay. Highly recommended.

My check-in experience at this hotel was significantly below acceptable standards due to the conduct of two members of staff. Although one male employee was professional, courteous and ultimately helpful, the behaviour of the other staff involved created a deeply uncomfortable and discriminatory atmosphere. My partner placed her hood up because she felt uncomfortable in the lobby. She was not disturbing anyone. Nevertheless, a staff member instructed her to remove it without any legitimate explanation. Shortly afterwards, another female employee approached us abruptly and demanded my partner’s ID. When I asked for the rationale, she stated, verbatim, “I believe she's underage”, delivered with a noticeably hostile and dismissive attitude. This comment was baseless, inappropriate and demeaning. A different male staff member later intervened and clarified that ID was supposedly required “due to fire regulations”. His manner was professional, and he managed the situation respectfully. However, the fact remains that his explanation directly contradicted the initial justification provided by the female employee. These conflicting narratives severely undermined the credibility of the request and reinforced the perception that we were being singled out. Although we complied once a legitimate requirement was finally explained, the earlier conduct was unacceptable. The attitude, inconsistency and targeting we experienced left us feeling judged and unwelcome. As a mixed-race couple, the disparity in treatment compared with other guests present was highly visible and concerning. While the male employee handled matters appropriately, management needs to urgently address staff training around communication standards, professionalism, and ensuring that all guests are treated consistently and without discriminatory behaviour. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this hotel.

This so-called Inn is hands down the most disgusting place I’ve ever encountered in my life. It doesn’t even deserve to be called a hotel—calling it a **dumpster** would be a compliment. I couldn’t even check-in because the **front desk staff are literally never there**! That’s right, there was **no one working** at all, it’s like the place was abandoned. I waited for over an hour, only to be assaulted by the revolting stench of **urine** wafting from the entrance. Just breathing the air felt like a punishment. To make matters worse, the surrounding area is full of shady characters that make you feel like you’re seconds away from being mugged. There is **zero security**, and the place feels **incredibly unsafe**. And forget about asking for a refund—**they flat-out refuse**. Their policies seem designed to rip people off. This place is a **disaster**, filthy, unsupervised, and absolutely dangerous. If you’re even remotely considering staying here, unless you want the experience of your worst nightmare, **run far, far away** from this hellhole!

Rooms need some TLC. Shabby decor and window doesn’t shut properly so loud road noise can be heard all night. A drinking glass provided would be nice. But worst of all - the music from the pub is so loud, the bass can be properly heard from the bedroom, and continues until at least 11pm/midnight.

Clean standard room, bathroom was very small like a little cupboard but was suitable for our 1 night stay, staff were friendly, breakfast was lovely, area was okay and had good access via uber to the utilita and the coach station which only cost between £5-£9 for 3 of us, it was quiet inside the pub and room which was a shock as we were expecting it to be quite noisy as it’s on top of a pub but we did come on a Tuesday as we were there for a concert. There was a small tv which had standard free view channels, with a remote that worked. There was towels and soaps on the beds clean on arrival, beds were clean and comfortable.
