"The room was pretty quiet. I stayed on the basement level, so there was no window, but since I was only there for one night to sleep, it didn't bother me. The bedding and bathroom were very clean, and there was a door curtain. The bed was quite soft. Having the toilet and shower right in the room was very convenient. There was also a full-length mirror and a vanity table in the room. The front desk offered free, very fresh lemonade! However, my bedside lamp was broken and hadn't been repaired; it squeaked all night, which really affected my sleep. I've told them and hope it gets fixed soon."

"To be fair Birmingham at first glance coming out of the station doesn’t look all that safe for a foreign traveller. The route to the hotel would initially reinforce that impression. However after walking the city the next day for over 6-8 hours, while the location is NOT city Center, it is actually located in a good place close to all the major places I need to visit on foot; train station, the mega mall Bullring, Birmingham city center / cathedral / St Martin’s mkt, the hip new part of town - Gas Basin (canal waterways) and also the city’s modern library with the rooftop gdns (@ Centenary Square). The rooms looked like it was recently refurbished. For the price I paid (58 Pounds for 2 pax), it was the best value out of my entire 16 day UK trip covering 15 different towns - up & down the UK (incl London/Cambridge/Leicester/Coventry). In short, a pretty damn good deal. It had aircon which was a major blessing in summer as most other places I stayed, didn’t have that."

"It's a good choice if you want thr budgetarian hotel for short stay and leave during day time because you have nothing can do in that hotel. Sheets, blanket, pillows are pearly white clean but surprisingly no complimentary water, and incomplete toiletries. Only soap. Room is good anyway even if you're just alone. Receptionist was helpful but the room service staff will knock at your door during your checkout like there's fire. It is located near everywhere. Still good deal."

"Good location but there is a nightclub nearby. It was too noisy when we opened the window. The cooler air cond) was out of order. Hotel staff Romila was very helpful. She arranged another room with cooler working properly. Therefore, we can close all the window to reduce the noise and can have better sleep."

"Unfortunately, this was a disappointing stay. The reception, bar and restaurant are the best part of this hotel. The lifts were slow, corridors outside the room smelt awful and room was poor. There was extensive water damage to the bottom of the bathroom door, dated furniture and one of the two beds was sat on the floor in the middle despite there being wheels underneath each side. There was pink/red staining on the curtains and we couldn’t see out of the window due to the condensation. The decoration, plug sockets were good and there was a hair dryer, iron and ironing board, mini fridge (empty) and a safe. The shower room was well presented, there were plenty of pillows and towels. The room temperature was comfortable. More bar staff were needed at busy times and all staff encountered were pleasant and friendly. Strange security late at night but understood why this was needed."

"The aircon system was totally sucks, it happened to numbers of rooms, even we changed the room it wasn’t help. The staff told me that the maintenance can only be conducted on weekdays (our stays in during weekends) !!!! We can’t breath while we were sleeping, no choice but to open the windows. Our room is facing to the Main Street with heavy traffic even siren sounds from police car. Luckily we just stay for 1 night. Once is enough ！"

"Established in 1879, this hotel is indeed the Grand Birmingham Hotel! It oozes classiness throughout. Our room was spacious but looking at the floor plan, that seems to be the standard! Bathrobes provided though not slippers. The shower has a door instead of the useless walk in panels that never work! No useless espresso cups but proper world map mugs for our coffees and tea in-room. Two comfortable arm chairs and the bed… The bed was a dream and I’m hoping to source the exact mattress topper and duvet! Perfect for me as a smoker, the hotel has an exclusive courtyard terrace on the first floor offering complimentary self service coffee. There are two adjacent restaurants to the hotel that uphold a dress code ensuring the premises is classy throughout. Beyond the hotel doors there’s plenty other eateries as the hotel is bang in the centre right by the Birmingham Cathedral: again perfect for our following Palm Sunday. The only thing I don’t understand is why the hotel entrance is not bigger and grander than it deserves."

"Everything about my stay was great! The staff were super friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast (which was included) was excellent. I arrived a little earlier than check-in time, but the process was smooth and quick. I’d asked for a room facing a particular direction, and the receptionist happily arranged that for me. The room itself was compact but felt surprisingly spacious, with a good-sized TV, iron, hairdryer, and a lovely view over the old canal. The location was also really convenient. The only small downside was that the room felt a bit cooler than I’d have liked. I tried to adjust the temperature to around 22°C, but it seemed to stay closer to 20°C. Breakfast was fantastic — plenty of choice and well stocked every morning from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. It had everything from a classic full English to cereals and even a pancake machine! The cleaning staff were also very polite and did a great job. Overall, I had a great stay and would definitely book again!"

"We recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Birmingham City Centre and were really impressed from start to finish ⭐. The location could not be more convenient 📍. It is right in the heart of the city, just a few minutes’ walk from New Street Station, the Bullring shopping centre, The Mailbox, and plenty of restaurants and bars. It made getting around Birmingham incredibly easy and meant we could make the most of our time without worrying about transport 🚆🛍️. Our room was spotlessly clean 🧼 and well maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The bed was very comfortable 🛏️, the décor was modern, and the facilities in the room, including tea and coffee ☕, a safe, and toiletries, were all of good quality. We also appreciated the little touches that made the room feel welcoming and practical for both business and leisure travellers. The hotel amenities were excellent. We made use of the bar and lounge area 🍹, which had a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. Breakfast was a real highlight 🍳🥐, fresh, plentiful, and delicious, with a wide variety of hot and cold options to suit all tastes. Everything was well stocked even during busy times, and staff were attentive without being intrusive 😊. Overall, our stay was smooth, comfortable, and enjoyable. The combination of an ideal location, clean and well equipped rooms, good amenities, and an outstanding breakfast makes this hotel a great choice for a visit to Birmingham 🌆. We would be very happy to stay here again and can confidently recommend it to anyone visiting the city 👍"
