I like this hotel and have stayed here a few times. It is well located near Blackburn just off the M65 at junction 5. The on site pub is nice and there are also numerous places nearby where you can socialise and eat and drink. The room is of a high standard and modern, the bathroom is more than adequate for shaving or doing makeup properly. The room was warm and comfortable even though it was quite cold outside. Check-in is straight forward and handled in the adjoining pub. Once you have checked in your key card gives you access into the hotel accommodation. There is a night porter available when the pub is closed but you won't see staff in the hotel accomodation apart from housekeepers in the morning so it's useful if a little discretion is required.

Initial impressions weren't great as in all fairness Blackburn isn't the prettiest of towns, but once I'd got parked I soon changed my mind. The receptionist was great and I was soon in my large, well-equipped bedroom. The room and the sumptuous bathroom were absolutely spotless, and I had a good night's sleep followed by a tasty breakfast.

Visited for one night on Monday 22/08 perfect welcome - everyone was friendly, attentive and very informative. Also the check out was just as perfect. Room was perfectly clean and very good value! I’d stay again in a heartbeat - the Team were really good ! It’s hard to get good staff but you’ve managed it - congratulations! See you in 4 weeks !
