I have previously stayed at Art BB, 4 times over the course of 2021/22 under its previous management, as I LOVED the hotel. I was very pleased to see it has reopened. I stayed on the night of Thursday 18th July and booked a suite on the 2nd floor with sea view. On checking in, the staff were very friendly and the previous bar room was being set up as a new cafe. The lady on reception stated the café was to open in the few days (it actually opened the following day). The room was brilliant, and the hotel is exactly as I remembered it from 2021/ 22. The only criticism of the room was, the room has a projector, and pull down screen, but no smart TV. A collection of dvds were supplied in room, but Id rather of had a smart TV option to watch on the pull down screen, such as Netflix's or Youtube. The carpet also had a stain which needs to be removed. Had a great nights sleep and enjoying using the bar in the room. Bathroom was brilliant and spotless clean. Room and bathroom are luxurious. On checking out the next day, the café had opened, and a sign was placed outside, advertising this cafe for walk-ins. The menu appears to be mainly cakes and coffees, and I think space is sub-let to a 3rd party. The hotel makes it clear it doesn’t serve breakfast. I think the hotel should offer guests a morning complimentary coffee and croissant (or similar) within the ground floor café, included into the price of the room. (I was offered a coffee when I checked in). I think there missing a trick not doing this at breakfast time as it would attract more guests, with minimal cost. I'm not suggesting they offer a full cooked breakfast, but some form of continental breakfast offer would be good. It’s also a pity this space is not used as a bar in the evening as it was previously. I have booked to stay again in October and hope a continental breakfast is offered by then.
