Everyone went above and beyond to ensure our care. The chef was amazing. His food was phenomenal and even cooked special requests. Our room was B ...it was roomy and the views were stunning

What a beautiful villa. It’s not large which gives the property so much charm. The staff are so helpful and genuine. Rare in a place as beautiful and therefore as popular with tourists as Lake Bled. We came for New Year and the New Year dinner was not only outstanding (chef is amazing) but the atmosphere was perfect. So intimate and personal Heavily recommend !

Great villa style hotel. Very quiet and clean. Good access to main transportation links just a few steps away getting you into Bled, Ljubljana and other great places. Immediate access to walking the lake too. Small grocery store just a stones throw away too! Other amenities at this time of year are sparse and with the walkway not accessible direct into Bled some planning needed to be done to get into and out of Bled centre. That being said, the hotel offered a free drop-off and pick-up service throughout the stay during this time which was really great. Would thoroughly recommend this place for a quiet, relaxed feel away from the hustle and bustle.

When our dates were unavailable at Vila Adora, we were offered Vila Pomona as an alternative at a similar premium price. Vila Adora appealed to us because of its location on the edge of Lake Bled and quality service, and we assumed Vila Pomona offered a similar experience and was located reasonably close to Vila Adora. Instead, we found ourselves in a house in a back street out of the city centre, and a brisk ten-minute walk down the hill to the lake edge. It is indeed comfortable and newly renovated, and the lovely Anna made us welcome and cooked us a nice breakfast each morning . However, Vila Pomona is otherwise unstaffed so there is no food or drinks service available for the rest of the day and communication with Hotel Adora reception is via WhatsApp.

My husband and I were due to stay here but because of a serious family illness had to cancel. We appreciated at the time the offer of a 50% voucher towards our next trip as we had fully paid beforehand. Despite many polite emails to rebook the hotel has not responded and obviously never intended to honour the promise. We have booked elsewhere now but extremely disappointed at the refusal to engage with us. I would say be very careful before booking with this hotel. We have notified the Slovenian tourist board and other sites.

We were so happy that we chose to stay at the Adora for the 3 days we had in Lake Bled. The hotel is charming — a beautiful hotel literally on Lake Bled with spectacular views and lovely, well-appointed rooms with just the right amount of warm and inviting touches. And the people who work there are also wonderful; the service was top-notch, with everyone being so nice and helpful. This is definitely a destination to put on your list for an incredible visit. The hotel itself was very pretty, so charming from the outside. We stayed in a family room, which had 2 bedrooms and a sizable living area with comfy couches and chairs. The rooms were lovely, with nice linens and really good pull-down metallic shutters and curtains for sleeping. But, you didn’t really want to close them for too long because the views of Bled Castle and Bled Island were truly incredible! We were just amazed. The rooms included a nice Keurig coffee maker, lovely fruit, candies and chocolates. The bathroom was spacious and bright, with a good rain showerhead. We met several of the people who work there and they were all very helpful — Allan and Zoya were especially knowledgeable during our stay. And Evita helped us tremendously with our planning by answering our questions on WhatsApp before the trip. And, we have to say a huge Thank You to everyone at the hotel because a member of our family got quite sick with a stomach bug he picked up on our last day in Venice before we arrived at Adora. They helped us with some over-the-counter medicines as a first measure, and then helped us get to the urgent care center in Bled, which was very excellent. The owner of the hotel also helped us and her son, Maxim, was very kind to drive us to and back from the urgent care. We are so very grateful for all of the help and kindness that day. Fortunately, we were still able to later enjoy some of the truly delicious food from Chef Domen Demsar. Wow!!! He is truly talented and we were blown away with his dinner creations. We sadly weren’t able to do the tasting menu as we had planned, but the kitchen was able to accomodate an ala carte order and we are so glad. We enjoyed a remarkable shrimp bisque, some ravioli filled with local pork, and sea bass served on top of squid ink cauliflower served with local asparagus and fish oil foam. Truly a delicious meal to remember! The location of the hotel is excellent, with super easy access to a walking path that you can take all of the way around the lake (3.7 miles) and very close access to the pletna boats, which are rowed by human power across the lake to Bled Island. It includes parking spots for the guests. It is also within close walking distance to many good places to eat and easy driving to many more. If you’re heading to Lake Bled, we would highly recommend the Adora Luxury Hotel!

We stayed for 3 nights (in two different rooms) in this luxury boutique inn. Housed in a former villa just steps from the lake and with magnificent views of the island and church, this property has only a handful of comfortable and spacious suites each unique in layout and features. We stayed in the “prestige suite” on the main floor (one of the smaller rooms) and “room B” up on the 1st look (2nd story to US folks). Both had patios with outdoor furniture and view to the lake. The prestige was more expensive and a full soaking tub and larger bay area while B had a lot more space and full-on views of the island and was the size of a small apartment-so much space. Of course there aren’t elevators in these older buildings so if you aren’t on the main floor be prepared or like us travel light. Both rooms had large comfortable king beds, L’occitane amenities and lots of cozy touches. Each had a ceiling AC unit that we didn’t really need in the cooler September nights during our visit. Breakfast (not included) was €22 per person and We tried it the first day. This consisted of eggs cooked to order with option for meat. They also had fruit, yogurt and pastries, coffee juice and tea. As I don’t really eat eggs, we opted not to have it on days 2-3 as it seemed pricey for what I would get. They have a small parking lot and there is no additional charge for parking. We really like the location and were able to walk (15 min) to restaurants in town, 10 min to pletna boat to the island, and being on the lake was nice. Note you are also adjacent to the main (busy) road but once all the dray trippers left around 4, it wasn’t too bad-especially up off the main level. All in all a lovely place to use as a base.

Absolutely fantastic hotel. The suite are stunning. We stayed in the island suite with a view of the lake and castle. The suite was spacious, modern and clean. More than enough space for our family of 5. The staff are friendly and welcoming. The hotel is situated a short walk from the town, which is perfect as it is quiet. There are lovely restaurants nearby and brilliant places to swim. Although it doesn’t have its own beach or sun loungers, you can rent a space at the Grand Hotel Toplice (a 10 min walk) for the day, and have the best of both worlds - a private boutique hotel, and the facilities of a large hotel. Highly recommended. Absolutely wonderful stay.

We are a family of four so we ended up with a two bedroom suite on the top floor of the hotel. It has incredible views of the lake on two sides and i felt it was well worth the money. The beds were incredibly comfortable with soft throws all throughout the suite. It is beautifully decorated with gorgeous antiques. We really enjoyed just staying in at night and watching the Olympics on their large sectional sofas. Very homey. Skip the breakfast; far too much $$ and too little offered for the price. Highly recommend.
