Escape to Pipestem for a nostalgic feel with today’s activities! The cabins are GREAT! You feel like you're in the woods. Disc golf, warm indoor swimming pool, mini-golf, laser tag, axe throwing. There is something for everyone! The dining is a delight as well!

We had a big family reunion of 25 people. Most of us drove all the way across the country from Idaho to get there and it was worth it. We rented two of the three bedroom cottages and three rooms in the McKeever lodge for 6 nights. The grandchildren had lots of fun riding horses, laser tag, mini golf, archery, ebikes, swimming in the lake and the pool. The adventure zone gave us a 40% discount on Tuesday. A group of us got brave enough to ride the zipline. The rest of us took the tram down to the river and enjoyed wading in the water and playing on the playground. It has to be one of the most fun places ever. I also like that the governor of West Virginia is the voice that answers the phone when you call for reservations and he talks up the state. He must be a great guy.

Pretty place. Reasonable rate on rooms. Room was clean Possibly the smallest bathroom ever. Absolutely no counter space. The property advertises many activities for all ages an interests. Bring everything you need, no town within 12 miles or so.

Our family of 50 or so occupied cabins 1 - 7, 9, 12, 13. In August. All in all… they were extremely filthy. Most all of us had to wear shoes to avoid black feet or socks being instantly ruined because the floor was so black from never being properly cleaned. The deck… covered in bird crap and mold/moss. Worst of all… our air filter we were ALL breathing in every cabin was completely caked with an inch of dust, hair and filth. Leaking roof in the hallway of one cabin and it goes in and on. The outside pool is permanently closed as well as one of the restaurants. The one remaining restaurant had a disgusting fried food “buffet”. Most water alternatives like the splash pool or the lake were not available (at capacity) and require a fee to enter. The general manager did discount our weekly cabin rate after touring our cabin in person… AVOID this “resort”. We traveled as a family once a year for 20-25 years for reunions at Ohio State Parks. Thought we’d try this place. What a mistake.

One of West Virginia's many state parks in the beautiful mountains. The lodge overlooks the Bluestone Canyon. Make sure you get one of the balcony rooms on an upper floor. Many outdoor activities there and at nearby Bluestone Lake. It is not a luxury resort, but it is comfortable and well-cared for. Built in the 1960s, it is undergoing some renovations. Dining options are limited to the dining room which offers a menu and a buffet. There is a pizza place open on weekends. More dining options in nearby Princeton, Wva.

Staff was beyond friendly, and the park was just beautiful. We stayed at McKeever Lodge on the 7th floor and the gorge view was breath taking. I wish the AC in our room worked a little better, but it worked so not really a complaint more of want. Overall, it was a great weekend getaway from the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. We will be going back for sure.

Me and my fiance stayed in room 423 from 01/24/2022 to 01/26/2022 the room wasn't what I expected as my parents highly recommended this place and always talked about how nice it was. I been better off stay in a budget hotel. The vent in the bathroom in the ceiling was later in lint and dust, the walls around the tub are cracked and crumbling, there was lots of lady bugs and a lady bug in the coffee k cup machine, the shade on the lamp nere the sliding door needs changed its nasty also the curtain is soiled with something. Also the handrail on the balcony needs screws in middle or the board needs replaced as there was no screws hold the middle bracket which could be a fall hazard if someone pushes to hard it could weaken the handrail and pull away from both walls where the ends have four screws hold each side. Also the light in ceiling as you come in the door from the hall way has a short or the bulb is bad we had it on for hour while in the room and it started flickering and went dim like it was an LED. Also the shower needs work, we take showers not baths. When we switched it to shower the tub was still running as shower was going. It wasn't worth $190.00 for two nights.

We were disappointed that the Tram was not running due to the winds. It was the real purpose of our visit. We visited the gift shop and drove around a little. All in all we did not get to experience much here.

Very accommodating, we wanted to bring our pup, they didn't have any pet rooms available at booking, however before our trip they changed to a pet room. Very clean and spacious. Maybe add a flood light at the pet accessible rooms so when the animals have to go out at night. Very dark, we did go prepared with a flashlight, so it wasn't a big deal for us. Restaurant was very efficient and food was fresh and tasty. Overall a great trip, will definitely book again.
