Really cool place. We really enjoyed our overnight at the hotel. Has a few rooms that allow pets so our Labrador was able to stay. Wish we could have spent more than a night there but were passing through on the way to AZ. Had breakfast at the Cafe and we were pleasantly surprised. Will certainly comeback.
Response from Property: Thank you for choosing Bluff Dwellings and for the kind review. Plan a couple nights on your return trip and check out the Bears Ears National Monument. Your lab will love the hikes!

Due to an itinerary schedule that required we make some progress most days, we were only able to stay here for one night, and arrived quite late at that. So we weren't able to fully appreciate the public and semi-public areas that make this venue so unique. The entire development is nestled into the adjacent cliffs, so views from both the generous rear deck and the expansive shared front deck (shared with two other units), was breathtaking. Though not a big fan of hard floors in bedroom areas, our adobe-themed units was spacious and comfortable, though an extra chair and luggage surface would have been appreciated. there was plenty of drawer space and expansive counter space, so a more extended stay would have been well accommodated. The shower was terrific, and while some regular table lamps would have made the space far more homey, the wall, niche, and recessed ceiling lighting was more than adequate. there's no elevators (we were forewarned) , so our 3rd floor unit required a lot of stair climbing, but there were no shortage of ground floor units at this resort, albeit with considerably diminished views and private & semi private spaces. There is a decent counter-service food service on the property, serving limited but adequate breakfast, lunch, dinner offerings with a small, basic, screened porch and beautiful adjacent patio seating. Despite the posted hours, when I arrived for breakfast, I was told they were now only serving lunch, but with some very minor cajoling, they relented and served up terrific omelet platter. Our interest in this facility was due to its location between Arches National Park, Monument Valley, Mesa Verde and Durango. But I would have to count this place as an attraction unto itself, rather than just a place to spend the night in between.
Response from Property: We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Bluff Dwellings Resort and Spa. We appreciate the detailed review and revel in the recommendation as not only a nice place to spend the night, but as a destination in and of itself. We hope you continue to Love the Journey, and hope you can come visit again.

This is truly a special place, native designed and run smack in the tall sandstone rocks outside Bears Ears National Monument. Rooms very large, triple rooms with 3 Q’s available or family units or regular Kings or Teepees! everywhere, pool and hot tub. My only advice is stay a few days to explore Bears Ears canyons and cliff dwellings dating to 600 AD with WILD the outfitter on site. Many ancient pictographs on canyon walls detailing daily life. Kayak, raft, jeep tours they will take you! Hovenweep NM very close, another ancient cliff dwelling site in a canyon. Do NOT try to do 3 national parks in one day!

Response from Property: Great advice and Thanks for the review...please come again!

Fabulous hotel! Beautiful setting, spacious room. Frig, microwave and coffee maker. We did request a downstairs room as there is not an elevator. Our only regret was that we could only stay one night. We checked out at noon but read our books by the pool. Very relaxing stay. We ate lunch at the Cafe Shack. I had the ash bread with artichoke dip with the chocolate peanut butter smoothie and husband had a chicken bacon wrap with strawberry banana smoothie. We ate out in the patio. Highly recommended this place. You will not be sorry.

Great accommodations and fun area to visit, super nice guest services. We ate ate the cafe several times and were not disappointed, fresh food. Amazing local sights to visit and nearby. A highlight for the trip was Fort Bluff, very informative.

Awesome place ever. We slept so good. We had a beautiful room with 3 queen beds. Loved it. Great staff. Great pool We had pizza last night. There wasn't a great selection of food but it was good for us. Beautiful surrounding. Recreation area for kids, hammock, fire pit, there was kind of a outdoor foyer with chairs and tables . The room was very clean. We would definitely recommend the place. It is not far from Mexican hat and monument valley.

We loved every minute spent in the teepee vacation. My grandson was in awe with the pool, teepee accommodations, food at the shack(breakfast ,lunch & dinner). We did travel for a couple of hours everyday around all 4 states taking in the scenery. We loved everything from the location to the big open skies at night. This is a must do for everyone!

Lovely stop on our way through southeast Utah. Rooms are large, nicely decorated, very comfortable and the patio fireplace/fire pits off of the rooms are fantastic. Would definitely stay here again but next time spend another day or two!!!
Response from Property: Thanks for the review and for choosing Bluff Dwellings Resort and Spa! We are so glad you loved your stay and can't wait to have you back for an extended stay.

If you come to Utah you must stay at least a few nights here! So many activities and beautiful scenery. Very kind and accommodating staff! The only reason I rated this a four was a few things. At night there are little to no lights in the parking areas so it is difficult to see. Also I was hoping there would be some sort of free meal such as breakfast. The food at the shack is tasty, but maybe for one of the days they could offer free breakfast. Other than that this is a very lovey place!
Response from Property: Thanks Taylor for choosing Bluff Dwellings Resort and Spa. We are glad you loved your stay. We have tried hard to protect the night sky as a dark sky community and that is why we have very little ambient light throughout the property. Love the ideas on the food and trust us we've tried many. We've found that serving high quality fresh food made to order is preferred by most of our guests over the mundane breakfasts you find at traditional hotels. We wish costs were such that we could include this with every guest stay, but that is just out of reach right now with costs being so high on food and labor. We wish you safe travels and a speedy return. Thanks for the review!

When we arrived it was unclear where we were to check in. After check in we confirmed that we had a third floor room with no elevator. Someone to help us with our luggage without our having to ask would have been nice. The room was very clean, large with up to date fixtures and amenities. There were several comfortable seating areas with one having a fireplace and one having a fire pit lit at night. The views of the rock formations were stunning especially at sunset. We ate several meals at the café and all but the cappuccinos were good. I had one of the best massages ever at the Hozho Spa from Skyann. It was unclear how to find the spa without asking the staff. This lack of signage/directions was problematic for me. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
Response from Property: Thank you for choosing Bluff Dwellings Resort and Spa. We are glad you loved your stay, the amenities, and large room. We have many guests that tout our Spa treatments as second to none. We are glad you enjoyed Skyann, she is excellent. With a quick call from our front desk, we have staff on site that are ready to assist with luggage and anything else you need. We appreciate the feedback and will always strive to improve.

I can’t say enough good things about our stay here. It’s just a beautiful property with very elegant buildings and rooms. The design flows with its surroundings and you feel like you’re in your own little canyon. We had a king room. Very spacious and just impeccable decor. There’s a private balcony facing the bluff to enjoy. Bed was so comfortable that after a full day of hiking sleep was great. There’s a coffee maker in room with plenty of coffee pods creamer and sweeteners. Even tea and cocoa! The shower portion of room is just a little cramped. But extremely clean so that makes up for it. Very quiet environment here surprisingly. They offer housekeeping per request so keep that in mind. But when I forgot to fill out my form, they provided what I needed immediately. There’s a small cafe on property for pizza sandwiches and breakfast. Pizza was good but that was the only thing we ordered. Parking was our only problem….. the spaces provided in front of our building filled up and we had to park in another area which could be annoying. And most of all if you need an elevator to access your room there are none here and you need to be on the ground level. But this is just the perfect place to stay in Bluff

The room was beautiful and so interesting with the raw wood and other furnishings. We arrived at the end of the day after hiking in Monument Valley, and wish we'd been able to stay longer to take advantage of this lovely resort. We had dinner in the restaurant which was just a notch above fast food and pricey, but the only place available at this time of year. The location is gorgeous and if we stay again, we'll definitely allow time to explore the resort and surrounding area!

The setting of the resort next to the bluff was magical for us. We enjoyed sitting around the fire pit and watching the moon rise. The sky view was incredible. The rooms were luxurious, and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed a massage at the spa and the breakfast at the cafe was outstanding. Overall, we loved the resort.
