I grew up in this area, moving away 25 years ago. We sold my parents house last year and since then I've needed a hotel when back to visit friends and family. This was my second trip back in a hotel - and I would return here before I returned to the Residence Inn across the street. The pricing during my stay was ridiculous for the area - the front desk explained there was a dance competition in town that had all the hotels sold out at higher prices. The hotel was mostly families with teen and pre-teen girls. I was concerned about noise, but it generally wasn't an issue due a combination of a very loud air conditioning unit providing white noise and well behaved guests on my floor. While awake in the room I could hear people in the hallway and with the air conditioning off I could hear traffic on the nearby interstate. Neither kept me awake, but I could hear them. The shower and sink had great water pressure and the hottest water I've encountered in a hotel. It was wonderful not having to hurry through a lukewarm shower. Bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the shower. No lotion which was a disappointment. The room was clean - no issues there. The sofa bed was nice for relaxing and falling asleep watching TV. Basic satellite dish TV - disappointed no local regional sports network to watch the Guardians and/or Pirates. Two TVs in the King executive suite. The evening front desk attendant was very helpful and pleasant. Had the extra pillows I wanted when I returned to the hotel the first evening. Ah yes - the pillows. Based on my experience this hotel needs new pillows. If you like firm pillows, this is NOT the hotel for you. I like to sleep with my head elevated on pillows - even with 7 pillows this was not possible. Shame on me for not brining my own pillow from home to help, but these pillows were among the worst I've encountered in a hotel in a long time. Mattress was OK - but not the dreamy kind that has me pulling off the covers to see what I just slept in and would like to have at home. The room had a refrigerator, TV, microwave and coffee maker at the foot of the bed. Sounds great but there was only a single electrical outlet to plug in two at once. The microwave and coffee maker had the cords wrapped around them. I had to pull the fridge out to briefly plug in the microwave to heat up my leftover pizza. Breakfast was OK, but underwhelming. Hotels seem to want to go with the cheapest foods available these days. Same choices all 3 days - scrambled eggs, sausage patties and premade sandwiches. Oh for the days of bacon at hotel buffets. Again I prefer this hotel to the badly worn out Residence Inn across the street. I don't prefer this hotel enough to not give the nearby Hampton or Holiday Inn a shot at my business on my next return in a few months as I keep looking for a go-to hotel in the Boardman-Poland area. Replace the mattress and pillows in the rooms and you might have me return.

Don't like that you can only have 2 bath towels if your staying in a room with one king size bed. Asked for at least one extra towel and we were told we would have to turn in our used towels. With that being said, hotel was very clean and in a nice location. Staff was fairly nice. Check out is at noon, that's a plus. Pool was very clean and the spa was in working condition and at a good temperature.

The whole experience was great. Front desk, room, housekeeping and the servers at the restaurant were all wonderful. My only issue was the configuration of the bathroom/ vanity/ wardrobe area. The 2 queen bed room is to be used for upto 4 adults. There were 3 of us attending an event and trying to get dressed was a huge challenge with the space, bad lighting and lack of a mirror somewhere else in the room.
