My time in Selina was pretty good! It is greatly decorated with very nice vibes. Great breakfast and great staff. I was placed on the top floor and, because it rained, the ceiling started to leak. The staff offered me to move to another room, to which I was extremely pleased. I also signed up for a therapeutic massage offered at the hostel, and it is a MUST!!! My doctor was Dr. Julio González and he was outstanding. Definitely will stay in Selina next time I’m in Bogota.

My second time staying at an Ibis; LOVE these properties. The rooms are very basic but you'll have what you need. The property is fun and stylish, staff was helpful (including arranging midnight airport transportation for us) and there's a full service bar and restaurant. The breakfast buffet has an amazing selection of dishes; I wish hotels in the US offered breakfasts like this! The National Museum right across the street is well worth a visit and you're a short drive to Monserrate and Candelaria.

Some of the staff was very professional and friendly. Unfortunately, other staff was quite rude. For example, when I asked the gentleman at the front desk to copy my vaccine cards, he practically snatched them out of my hands without saying a word. After handing me my copies, he began to walk away while my cards were still sitting in the copy machine. I politely asked for ”mis tarjetas, por favor.” He walked back over, still silent, and I said simply, ”Esos son importantes.” He chuckled under his breath but still said nothing as he handed the cards back. It was as if he simply had no interest in bothering with them unless I asked. Then, after I paid for the copies, he went to look for my change (1,000 pesos). He then told me in an irritated tone that they didn't have any change. I simply said, ”No es importante.” Throughout the whole interaction, he acted very rushed and inconvenienced, as if I was imposing on him, and he never offered the slightest apology for forgetting my vaccine cards or not having any change. (They were not busy at the time; there were two people working behind the counter and no other guests in line. At least the other fellow was professional, unlike his colleague.) I'm aware that my Spanish is still at an intermediate level; however, if you're going to work in the hotel industry (down the street from the airport, in a capital city, no less), the least you could do is show some courtesy to your guests. (We don't have to speak Spanish to pick up on your passive aggressiveness.) Also, when I arrived there were no towels in the room. It took three requests over about 35-40 minutes to get some. Everyone I talked to seemed very professional and intent on taking care of it, but somehow no one delivered until the third attempt. It was surprising, actually, because the room was immaculate and perfectly made up, except for having no towels of any kind. I enjoyed my dinner a lot, and the lady who waited on me was gracious and patient when conversing with me in Spanish. The restaurant took a few minutes to find, as there are two buildings, each with their own lobby, and the fellow at reception who checked me in didn't mention anything about the restaurant.

If you want friendly,attentive, professional, helpful staff I highly recommend. The restaurant staff same. It’s nice,clean, from lobby to rooms to roof top. Hopefully be back soon it’s always a pleasure coming here. The administration is top notch. Very secure building if you have any questions or concerns or need something they are there. 5 stars

Desde mi llegada a este hotel no he podido percibir la más mínima amabilidad de parte de el personal de recepción de el hotel sin excepción alguna Iniciando desde mi llegada después de un largo viaje fuimos recibidos por un autómata que solo es capaz de ver la pantalla del ordenador y no de dar respuestas coherentes a clientes . Soy miembro de IHG el programa de lealtad que ampara a su hotel siendo está la primera vez que he percibido sólo evasivas , respuestas incoherentes y falta total de cortesía . Desde el día uno pregunte por los beneficios que me da el grado obtenido de lealtad y se me informó que mi reserva había sido hecha con puntos y que además el hotel estaba lleno ! Me pregunto yo si los puntos de lealtad en este hotel no son bien recibidos no deberían aceptar reservas bajo esta modalidad . En cualquier hotel que nos hemos hospedado con mi familia como mínimo recibimos botellas de agua de cortesía , se me informó que esa no era política del hotel . El colmo fue el día de hoy hace unís minutos que llame a recepción solicitando me enviaran 4 tuallas y papel higiénico y la respuesta que recibí me dejo perplejo: que el hotel estaba lleno y que podían atender mi petición hasta las 10 am Porque el hotel se encontraba lleno . Este es un problema administrativo ya que di tienen una capacidad instalada de x número de personas deben será capaces de atender las necesidades de los clientes . Otra situación incómoda fue el día de ayer que ordene comida a el hotel y deseaba que me cambiaran unos billetes de pesos colombianos por otros de menor denominación al que parcamente se me respondió que ellos no efectuaban ese tipo de servicios Creo que en todos los hoteles manejan algún fondo de caja chica . DO NOT COME HERE. Terrible experience from start to finish. Booked a room online that included breakfast. When we arrived we paid in full and were informed that breakfast would be an extra $30,000 COP/ Per person/ per night only after we had paid already. When we explained that our rate included breakfast we were met with confrontation explaining that was not the case even though we showed them the website where it said it was included. It was late at night so we went to bed being they said they would have someone call in the morning to resolve this. After waiting and receiving no phone call we called ourselves. After a 20 minute phone call with the front desk explaining that we booked online and THEIR website says breakfast is included, we were told “our rate was too low” and there was absolutely nothing they were willing to do for us. Also, the walls are so thin in the rooms that you can hear your neighbors conversations clearly, constant noise from the city, the rooms have terrible Wi-Fi, and the room seems to shake when you close the door. Overall bad customer service, bad Wi-Fi, bad rooms. Avoid at all costs.

The hotel service is very professional. All the staff are professional and sincere. They have warm smiles and thoughtful service. All the details are in place. For a hotel room like this and for the price I paid - it was an amazing stay. The only thing is that you gonna have to bring ear plugs with you, since it is too noisy. The hotel locates right next to a highway.
