Best Four Star Hotels in Bogota

Modern hotel in good part of the city, although no restaurants within easy walking distance, but eating in the hotel restaurant was no problem with tasty food and good service although prices are higher when compared to restaurants elsewhere in the city. Spacious room, well designed , mini bar , safe, desk ,sofa, everything you want except control of the room temperature. We spent most of the time feeling cold in the room with no way to heat it (outside temp dropped to around 7-8C). Beds are very , very firm which is not ideal for anyone. Room pricing is very reasonable and represents good value. Caution with the breakfast buffet - our room was B&B, so we helped ourselves to the buffet only to be confronted with the manager half through our meal telling us that we had only paid for the basic breakfast and therefore needed to pay an extra 56,000pesos per person - the buffet was adequate but falls well below the offerings of 4 star hotels elsewhere. I did find pricing somewhere on the website that confirmed that full breakfast was 56k pp but I never managed to convince the manager that we should only pay the difference between basic breakfast and full breakfast , I felt cheated. One female member of staff on the front desk was very helpful and understanding and spoke good English and tried hard to help, but by this point we had decided not to use the buffet and buy food at local coffee shops close to the hotel. Our travel agent was to blame for only paying for basic breakfast but this was not explained upon check in nor were we told what we could eat without being fined. The good news was at check out when our 2 breakfasts we didn't attend were refunded giving us back approx 75K per day for 2 people, thus proving my point that we should have only paid the difference between 75K and 112K for 2 people to upgrade. Check what type of breakfast you are entitled to and there will be no problems, change the mattresses for something softer and actually plug the thermostat in the rooms into the heating/cooling system and this hotel would easily score 100%

The boys at the front desk are friendly and the porters are attentive. The breakfast is rich, the catering service is thoughtful and meticulous, the room is spacious and bright, the kitchen has a microwave oven, a two-burner stove, and the tableware is complete, which is suitable for making simple meals by yourself. The hotel has a free underground parking garage.

I’m not the type to leave reviews I just never get around to doing it but after my stay at the NH Bogota Boheme Royal I felt obligated to say something. Because of the staff at that hotel it made my vacation amazing. I don’t know what or who to complement first the location. the clean room. the great breakfast. the amazing staff. Thank you …. Daniel . Pedro. Javier. Thomas. You guys are outstanding perfect first impression No doubt on my return trip I’m coming back to the NH Bogota Boheme Royal

Excellent attention, the breakfast is amazing, the prices are good and the overall experience was very good to me. Excellent staff at the reception and very nice attention. I was glad to have chosen this hotel. The location is also an excellent one.

Let me start with the positives: As Bogota’s airport is the major hub for domestic flights in Colombia, we spent 4 nights at the Courtyard. It’s very conveniently located in almost a walking distance from the airport and have a good shuttle service. As you can expect from Courtyard by Marriott (I am a platinum member) rooms are nice and the restaurant was good. Stuff were friendly. I would have rated it at 4 stars but… We wanted to get to Zipaquira Salt Cathedral (Catedral de Sal) and asked the receptionist’s help. They communicated with the transportation services they use (GERF) and gave us a quote of 220,000 COP for a minivan. Yet, on the night before travel they have told us the price is actually 379,000 COP. They have admitted they have made a mistake and the manager even suggested to compensate us with dinner for the honest mistake. I showed him the lonely planet book showing an estimated price of up to 160,000 COP for a taxi to Zipaquira which includes 2.5 hours wait at the Salt Cathedral. He mentioned their transportation services (GERF) includes a wait of up to 5 hours which would allow us enough time to visit the Cathedral and enjoy the city. We have accepted the offer and thought it was a real nice gesture from the manager to compensate us. After we have finished the visit to the Cathedral which took us about 2 hours, we have decided that instead of staying at the city we would prefer to go to Monserrat which is just a short detour from the way back to the hotel. We have asked the driver if we can spend the rest of the wait time on Monserrat instead and he acknowledged it. We spent about 2.5 hours to visit Monserrat. When we arrived back in the hotel the driver asked for 535,000 COP claiming the agreed total travel time they have committed was 5 hours, not the wait time as communicated and agreed by us. Given the trip to Zipaquira is about 2 hours each way that obviously doesn’t make sense as it means it allows only 1 hour at the Salt Cathedral and no time at the city. It means they have known we would need to pay much more. We have discussed it with the hotel reception and asked to talk with the manager who was not at the hotel but they were unable to resolve the issue. We have reluctantly paid the difference but felt we were cheated (…and paid almost 3 times a regular taxi service we could have ordered). Must admit the hotel gave us the dinner for free as promised but in 2 weeks of traveling in Colombia using hotels to arrange our transportations it was the only incident we have faced. Bottom line - good hotel but we felt cheated which ruined our experience. Suggest NOT to use their transportation services (GERF - see picture attached) or at a minimum be very specific and put the terms in writing to avoid such bad feelings and experience.

Great hotel, did not try the spa facilities as they closed at 9pm. Food on site was excellent. Staff friendly and most bi-lingual. The rooms do have sound proofing but I would suggest trying to get a high floor. Easy parking - overall would recommend

- Really good location in Chapinero. Close to Zona T, Transmilenio and Parque de los Hippies. - A huge breakfast buffet from 6 AM to 10 AM that was refilled until 10 AM. - Gym and spa area with sauna and steam room (haven't tried the spa area but it looked clean). - The staff was very helpful. - I would stay here again the next time.

Señora Norma Delgado, I would like you to know how great and PROFESSIONAL is your entire staff. Angela Malagon and Señor William at the front desk were always very kind and extremely helpful with all our needs. Señor Víctor, Señor Mateo and Señora Angie Gómez always made sure our breakfast was hot and very well prepared. When we needed room service they always brought our food quickly and they were always smiling. Señora Janette and Señora Sile always prepared our rooms perfectly and treated all of us with tremendous cariño. Señora Janette and Señora Sile are full of life and happiness. Señor Carlos and Señor Rafael at the front desk were also very, very kind and helpful as were Señor Orlando and Manuel. The staff you have working here is PURO ORO!! Todos son excepciónal. Gracias, gracias, gracias.

This hotel and staff were the most kind, courteous, helpful, clean and family oriented - I mean they make you feel like family! I have spent many nights in hotels because of my line of business in real estate and I have NEVER loved a hotel experience like my ten days at this hotel. I never write reviews, good or bad. You cannot go wrong here. Tourists will understand when I say that feeling safe is a must, especially in another country. In the room there was a personalized safe to keep your valuables secure and the staff NEVER enter your room unless directed by guests. The rooms are spotless and fresh smelling, the staff is the hardest working, going beyond with every request - completely and always. This hotel was also the cleanest and best stocked with any amenity needed. My partner and I enjoyed the sanitized saunas, jacuzzis and gym - permitting us to create special long lasting memories! Come to Bogota and stay at this hotel; you will thank me. ＜3 We hope to stay here again, very soon. This place is terrible! We arrived at 2:40 pm and waited till 3:40 to get in our room! Sat at the bar and had to get the guys attention, I WAS THE ONLY PERSON seated at the bar! We arrived back at hotel at 10:00 and wanted to eat, Restaurant closes at 11, Tables were available but we were told to sit in the lounge and say 2 other couples sitting in the lounge VISIBLY upset because they have been waiting so long to get there table! I was pissed and called over a employee that sat us there, She proceeded to give us some BS that tables weren’t clean etc, I told her “BS” mind you I speak perfect Spanish / Latin and live in Medellin. She then gave us a table. Remember the 2 separate couples awaiting in front of us? Well, they were PISSED off and obviously upset that they hadn’t even received their drinks yet. WE JUST GOT UP AND LEFT and ordered Burger King from Rappi! TERRIBLE!!!! Best to stay at a REAL Hotel like the Hilton Conferías! They know customer service and deserve our money and outstanding reviews.
