A good solid hotel. Receptionist very welcoming even at such a late hour of the night. A wedding reception was still in full swing at midnight. Great transport links on to the A23

Catering mothers day it was OK. Finger sandwiches very basic with the crusts on. Cream cheese in smoked sal.on sandwich was not cream cheese but pureed cottage cheese. Yuk. Rest was mediocre and sat at its 3 star level. Staff were all pleasant but lounge off the reception area smelt like something had died under the floor boards.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel a number of times in the 1990s and, though I'm sure there must have been changes since, it seemed just as it was before. From experience, I know it is a very creaky hotel, so I made sure I was on the first floor and I suggest you do too. It might well not be the case now, but you always knew there was somebody above you when I stayed previously.
I haven't been in a hotel for many years where I chose breakfast from a menu and was served it. That added to the time travel feeling. There were only a handful of guests when I went in, so I wonder whether you might have to wait when busy? I certainly didn't, and my breakfast, though not exactly generous in portion, was delicious - good quality food properly cooked.
Staff were all very helpful and I have no complaints. There is some refurbishment going on, and if you look past the cosmetics it is comfortable enough. I would say that the premium paid for the convenient location means that while I don't feel cheated, I would not book here if I was looking for value for my money.

Stayed for a week. Lovely large double room. Food was amazing, from the full English breakfast to my absolute favourite the sticky toffee pudding ( best I’ve ever tasted). Every member of staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for you . Beautiful setting. Will definitely be back . Thankyou 🥰

Cheap and cheerful, didn’t expect much given the price and reviews but I have to say the rooms where better than expected and the staff so very helpful, my only downside was the breakfast, buffet breakfast with little options, most of the Tins were empty or only dregs left so a bit disappointed from that but otherwise if you need a bed for the night I would recommend

Room had an unpleasant odour, dog in next door room whined and barked. Pillows lumpy and uncomfortable. Decor dated. Bedding dated. Cobwebs. Disappointing for a £90 stay. Won’t book again

Stayed in the two storey newer annex. Rooms are large. Bed maybe too hard for some. All staff very professional. One gripe was that window handle came off in my hand. Windows do need looking at. No air con but even though warm outside fan provided did the job. Breakfast excellent. Price excellent. Very convenient to pop into Brighton.

I stayed here with my family whilst attending a convention at the Amex in Brighton. The rooms were extremely clean, the breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend this hotel, and will be back again next year. Thank you.
