Best Western Plus the Tudor-Box Hill Reviews

I stay at the service apartment. Room is very large and spacious. It can house up to 7 persons comfortably. The balcony is so dusty that it cannot be used. The view is decently ok. Kitchen is basic with some pots and pans. The reception is manned 24 hours opposite the road the Best Western motel. Swimming pool, heated jacuzzi and steam rooms are at the motel side.

Stairs! My room had stairs to the bedroom area! GREAT. Loved it. Apparently Aussies don’t like stairs! Lazy bu**ers!;) Being English, I loved them. Thanks for a VERY comfy stay. Came with a jacuzzi to boot. You’ll need a car though.

The hotel location is quite good, 10-min's walk from Box Hill station. Reception is opened 24 hours. However, the hotel didn't refund my deposit when I checked out. It was not until after I emailed the hotel to request for the refund did they do the refund.

Terrible service. Owner dont want to take any complaints. Simple they dont care. Owner cant even communicate in english. Stayed four days no cleaning, no bed change, no soap, sampoo. Thank you

It's a very rubbish hotel. It has never lived in such a bad environment and the service is particularly poor. Especially, the Asian man with glasses at the front desk is about 50 years old and the service attitude is particularly bad. How can this hotel open? I really can't understand！It's a shame to Melbourne

Beautiful scenery, happy vacation!

The location was close to a function that we needed to attend and it had very easy access. Our room was excellent. We had a marvellous dinner at the hotel restaurant. The next morning we had a wonderful breakfast just before departure. The staff were very pleasant. We had an enjoyable stay.

Arrived an hour early, hoping the room would be available, but it was not which was fine. But, the greeting by the hostess was not welcoming at all. She just said, come back at 2pm. Arrive back at 1:50 and waiting for 2pm for the room to be completed.. it was not ready until 2:15pm. I saw that room door opened when we first arrived an hour early and was basically untouched until 2pm.. not seeing any other guest check in during our time, a bit disappointed at how it was all conducted. Hostess once again, not very polite during the check in process. - plumbing was shocking. Bathroom walls leaking, no joke here. - was that rabbit poo or wallaby poo by the bed, dad? - $30 each for a kids bed when online it said extra $20. My child would have preferred to be by the rabbit/wallaby poo, just saying. - online photos a misleading. You get a whole in the wall with a bed for night which is what we wanted for a one day trip to Melbourne, plus some. Ps. Bring your own pillow for extra comfort.

The hotel is located in Box Hill, where many Chinese live. The rooms are a bit old but large, and parking is free. The hotel has a small gym and a small swimming pool. The price-performance ratio is quite high in Melbourne.

I came here for the second time. The place is far from Melbourne. But there is a supermarket in the Chinese area nearby. There is a cemetery not far away. The apartment is across the street. I still feel it is easy to get lost when I come here again. Free parking. High cost performance

Located in Box Hill, a Chinese area, it is very clean. But the service is very poor. No matter how long you stay, they will not clean or refill the toilet paper. The elderly Hong Kong man at the front desk is very mean. He watches your every move on the surveillance camera. When you go to the gym or the laundry room, he will come out immediately and not let you use it, or stand by and watch you, which makes you feel uncomfortable. He will argue with whoever uses it and ask how long it will take to finish it. He will lock the door and wait for you. I stayed for two days and saw him quarreling with foreigners. It seems that the facilities are just for show. Except for the handsome Hong Kong man Billy at the front desk, he is very nice, very gentle and responsive. The reputation of the hotel is all due to him.

Clean and hygienic, the reception attitude was good, and we were upgraded to a room for free on the third night. Recommended accommodation. Shopping in the nearby Chinese district is very convenient. There are not many hotels nearby, and the price of this hotel is acceptable.
