Perfect Stay at The Langbo Chengdu, in The Unbound Collection by Hyatt!
My stay was absolutely fantastic from check-in to check-out. Special thanks to Kendall at the front desk—she was super professional, warm and efficient. She handled my check-in quickly, answered all my questions about local attractions patiently, and even helped arrange a late check-out for me with a big smile. The room was clean, cozy with great city views, and all facilities worked perfectly. The hotel’s location is also convenient for travel and dining. Will definitely choose this hotel again on my next trip to Chengdu! Highly recommend it!

I have to give full marks to Bella at the Front Desk of Chengdu Kapok Hotel! As soon as I arrived, her warm smile was truly a balm. She was efficient and thorough during check-in, proactively helped with my luggage, and patiently explained the hotel facilities and local food recommendations. When I casually mentioned wanting a quieter room, she immediately arranged it without any hesitation or perfunctory attitude. Throughout my stay, she was always quick to respond to any questions I had, proving herself professional and incredibly thoughtful – truly sincere in every detail. Such outstanding service made my entire trip exceptionally comfortable. I will definitely choose Kapok Hotel again next time I'm in Chengdu, and a special thank you to Bella for her dedicated effort, she truly deserves all the praise!

Excellent as always! Everything from the facilities and environment to the service is superb!

It's right next to Dong'an Lake Sports Park, making it absolutely the top choice for concerts, and the views within sight are beautiful.

What's most worth mentioning is that besides being proactively upgraded to a suite, we were walking down the hallway talking about wanting to buy some water, and a passing staff member stopped, actively asked what we needed, and told us where the vending machine was! This service definitely deserves a 5-star review!

The most satisfactory hotel in New York, although not big, but the design is enough to make up for it. The service from the front desk to the back office is very thoughtful. The service standard is very high. Because we were given a room too late. In addition to upgrading the room, they also treated us to a Michelin meal. They were all proactively proposed, and I can say that I really like it. This trip to New York is so satisfactory, and this hotel has contributed a lot.

All was perfect, as usual. Always coming back here for business trips to New York.

I booked a room with a view of the Empire State Building, but I could only see it in a line, which was a bit disappointing.

The room was a bit small, but the decoration was quite fashionable. The air conditioner was too noisy. Fortunately, it was not hot at night, so I just didn't turn it on.

The location is great, it's close to everything.

The hotel has its own restaurant, which tastes good. It's quite convenient for solo travelers

I've flown out of Daxing Airport many times and never really explored it. This time, I had an early morning flight for my child, so to let them get more sleep, I booked the Kapok Hotel. It's just a few minutes' walk to the terminal. After dropping off my child, I wasn't in a rush to go home, so I took my older child and used a package we bought that included breakfast, a flight simulator experience, and a 'tea around the fire' set. The breakfast selection was a bit simple, but everything else was a pleasant surprise. There was plenty to see, eat, and do.

This hotel is great for a weekend getaway with kids. Juyongguan Great Wall and Shuiguan Great Wall are nearby, with Shuiguan Great Wall being closer and less crowded, though a bit challenging to climb. The hotel is nestled in the mountains, offering a pleasant environment with individual villas dotted up the hillside. Our room was quite far, so we needed to drive to the lobby and restaurant.

The hotel also offers many family-friendly activities. On our second morning, we participated in a valley hike, which was essentially a mountain climb – it requires some stamina.

There were also quite a few downsides. Given how spread out the rooms are and how far they are from the lobby, one would expect butler service, but there was none. Moreover, it was very difficult to get through to the front desk from the room phone. For a self-proclaimed 'family-friendly hotel,' there weren't even children's slippers in the room. After finally getting through on the phone, it took an hour for them to be delivered. Why weren't they provided directly at check-in when they saw we had a child?

The room itself was fairly large, but the bathroom lacked air conditioning/heating, and the shower was open-concept. This design might be fine in Sanya, but in Yanqing, showering at night was absolutely freezing. There was also water pooling, and when staff came to check, they said it was because the floor drain was too high, and nothing could be done, which was a bit frustrating.

We had two meals at the hotel restaurant; the food was good, albeit a bit pricey. We also ate at a farmhouse restaurant down the mountain where the iron pot stewed fish was delicious – I forgot its name, but it had “Tell Old Mo I want to eat fish” written on the wall.

Despite the downsides, it's still a good place for a weekend with kids. The hotel has an outdoor pool and a children's splash pool, which were closed due to the cold weather. We'll definitely bring the kids back in the summer.
