AArul KandasamyThe resort’s 1920’s French colonial architecture evokes old world charm and is breathtakingly beautiful. We liked the many mature trees and flowers dotted throughout the resort which gave it a serene and very tropical feel. We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights in a beach view villa, which literally was on the beach. We were lulled to sleep every night with the sound of waves coming into shore. Although the rooms are a bit dated (the resort is 19 years old) the paint was brand new and all the rooms were beautifully decorated. The swimming pool was a regular hang out spot for us as it afforded beautiful views of the ocean. Breakfast was a sumptuous buffet spread with Vietnamese, Asian and Western options. There were also ala carte options eg egg station, fresh soup noodles and french toast, crepes and waffles. We particularly liked the freshly brewed Vietnamese coffee and assortment of delicious pastries. For lunch and dinner, food served at Le Bar and the Pepper Tree, both Vietnamese and Western options were outstanding. We enjoyed the food so much that we hardly ate outside the resort ! Staff were professional, friendly and extremely helpful, Nothing was too much trouble, from arranging tour guides to customising food options. In particular, Sam the concierge was always cheerful and available to assist us at any time, Last but not least, the spa is a “must do”. The treatment rooms are beautifully decorated and tucked away in a quite and calm setting. The therapists very talented at easing away all the stress and worries you may have.

OOliver Bodicker⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Wonderful Stay at Radisson Blu Phu Quoc – Simply Perfect! From the very first moment, we were truly overwhelmed by the warmth and friendliness of the entire team. We especially want to mention Alex at the reception – she was incredibly professional, attentive, and kind. She took plenty of time to answer all our questions and made sure all our requests were taken care of. Her positive energy and excellent English really made our stay special. During our stay, we had a small issue with the room service at first – we tried ordering through the app, then the phone didn’t work, and somehow we ended up ordering twice. But again, the service was outstanding: Robert, the manager, personally took care of the situation, showed us how to use the app properly, and made sure the phone issue was fixed right away. It was handled quickly, professionally, and with a big smile – truly impressive! We celebrated our wedding anniversary at the Radisson Blu, and it honestly felt like a dream come true. The entire resort is spotlessly clean, beautifully maintained, and everything runs so smoothly. The breakfast buffet is excellent with a huge selection, and the beach is kept very clean with plenty of comfortable sunbeds. We also really appreciated the convenient shuttle services around the property. The Radisson Blu Phu Quoc combines luxury with a warm, family-like atmosphere. You feel genuinely welcomed, valued, and cared for at every moment. We can wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone – whether for a special occasion or just to relax and recharge. A big thank you to the whole team – and especially to Alex and Robert for their outstanding service and kindness. 🌺

AAnonymous UserWe were truly touched by how family-friendly this resort is! Our villa was ideal for traveling with kids — besides the pool that the little ones absolutely loved, it was also equipped with a water dispenser, washing machine, and dishwasher — such helpful features for moms 🥰 Every staff member we met was kind and took wonderful care of us. Since we had an early morning flight, the hotel thoughtfully prepared a variety of breakfast items for us to enjoy at the airport — such a considerate touch! The hotel app was super efficient and convenient — booking activities, arranging transportation, and ordering food was all quick and easy. Big thanks to Thien, the friendly poolside staff who looked after us so well for two days! Our kids had so much fun every day — playing chess, pickleball, frisbee, archery, and of course, lots of swimming! The fire dance show at the beachfront restaurant was also a highlight — entertaining and memorable. We’re already looking forward to coming back again 💕

GGuest UserSuperb hotel with many hotel lifestyle activities which kids and families can enjoy and spend their whole day in the resort. Clean and big swimming pools with many restaurants and bar. Hotel provided shuttle bus services to town and nearby attraction area as well as to the airport. Best breakfast buffet with many foods. Hotel lobby with nice bar which really makes it a best choice for family gatherings. Will definitely come again in future.

GGuest UserI’m writing this detailed review so other families know exactly what to expect before booking. To be fair, most of the staff at Vinpearl Wonderworld Phu Quoc were genuinely lovely. The majority were warm, polite and tried their best. However, the issues we experienced throughout our stay were far more serious than what you would ever expect from a resort marketed as 5 star. Our problems started from the moment we arrived. The two receptionists who checked us in were unfriendly, unwelcoming and offered no basic hospitality. We were not allowed to check in 25 minutes early, which was fine, but when 2 pm came and we were given our key, the villa door didn’t work because the electronic lock battery had run out. Once we finally got inside, we discovered multiple issues: • Three of the TVs did not work • The kids’ safari room wasn’t set up • The kids’ room was boiling hot, which is extremely unsafe for a 2 and 4 year old • Star lights were missing • None of the lamps worked • The toilet seat was broken • Guest slippers were missing • The toy dogs provided in the kids’ safari room were stained, which is unacceptable for young children These problems alone would have resulted in an immediate room change or compensation at any true 5 star property. Here, nothing of that sort was offered. Next issue: the kitchen. The villa is advertised as having a kitchen, but it was completely empty. There were only three cups for a family of five, no microwave and no way to heat food. Guests are told they must pay a hire fee if they want to use utensils, cutlery or proper crockery. I have never encountered this policy anywhere in the world — you pay for a villa with a kitchen but must pay extra to actually use it. On our third day, we were locked out of our villa for half an hour with two toddlers being bitten by mosquitoes because the door battery “ran out” again. Completely unacceptable for a resort at this price point. That night, when we asked to have food (purchased from Vinpearl’s own restaurant) heated for our children, we were again told about the cutlery hire fee and were repeatedly questioned about the food even though it was in clearly labeled Vinpearl packaging. To finish the trip, the resort bus to the airport smelled strongly of vomit, which was unpleasant and unhygienic. While the manager and several staff members were polite and tried to help, these systemic issues — poor maintenance, lack of basic amenities, hygiene concerns and unreasonable policies — made our experience extremely disappointing. For families considering this resort: Be aware that the kitchen is empty, you will be charged to use utensils, and you may encounter multiple maintenance problems. These are not small oversights — they affected our stay every single day. Unfortunately, this resort did not deliver anywhere near a 5 star experience, and we would not book here again.

GGuest User”Traveling with my besties made this trip unforgettable! Our hotel room was enormous, echoing with our happy laughter. While a bit of a journey from the airport, the island's free shuttle service (definitely book in advance!) made it convenient. The room, though slightly dated, offered stunning views, and the pool was massive! The beach was pristine, and we could easily walk to the nearby amusement park – beautiful and fun to explore. The spacious bathroom became our little haven for makeup and giggles. A big part of our perfect trip was the hotel itself, especially the front desk staff who showed such kindness when I felt unwell checking out. Truly a fantastic first impression of Vietnam!”

TTravisOChloe and Thy were very helpful when welcoming us at the reception. Both of them gave useful tips in spending our time such as suggesting for us to take the paid 2-way transportation to Duong Dong Town (VND 40K per pax, per direction) to experience the night market and some seafood dinner. We made a quick trip to the King Kong Mart to get some Vietnamese gifts and souvenirs. As for the hotel, I love the comfortable bed and spacious toilet. It’s a beautiful chance not only to watch the sunset but also the moonset, from the balcony. There is good food variety for breakfast and we see some changes in the menu during our past 3 breakfasts. Do stop by for the Chocolate buffet if you have no plans at 3pm. Otherwise the gym (in the next building) has some fitness classes. Getting to the other building is easy either by foot or by complimentary buggy ride.

LluvtripThe resort is beautiful and the size is perfect, it is big but you can walk everywhere in 10 minutes which is great. The beach is clean. The food was good, but there were no snack options during the day. The pool bar only opens 11am, and they don't serve any food. You need to go to Shack restaurant, and they only deliver to the pool a few options from the menu in a box. Otherwise, you need to eat at the restaurant. (Some friends were all inclusive, and they won't deliver anything in this case) One day, the pool bar was packed, and there was only one staff member taking orders and preparing the drinks! When I suggested the manager send one more staff member to help, he asked me to be patient or order from the restaurant. Meaning they won't improve the service if there are too many people in the pool. It's probably because of the all-inclusive service, to reduce their consumption. But the people who are not all-inclusive will also be affected. My 3 yrs old son and a 4 yrs old friend cut their feet in the swimming pool. The manager came worried and asked what I needed, but his suggestion was for them not to stay too long in the pool and he said my son is probably a city boy and he is not used to it. The thing is, we go to the pool every week, he knows how to swim and we have been to similar trips to Bali, Phillipines and Thailand and this never happened before! So Im pretty sure the problem is their swimming pool floor, whether the tiles are too rough or there are sharp things on the shallow areas. In fact, I stepped on something sharp one time, luckily I was walking and it didn't cut me. (The picture of my son's feet is 2 days after it happened) So the hotel is beautiful and convenient, clean, the price is good. But I have concerns about the swimming pool, so I would probably not go back because of that. And I would not take the all-inclusive as there are some restrictions.

EErickTo summarize ”Chez Carole” failed to impress me. I stayed 6 days early November. As mentioned by other reviewers there is a lot of potential but... The beach and the tranquility are definitely a plus. The beach is nothing extraordinary but it is ideal if you just want to relax and enjoy ”farniente”. However there long chairs are far from comfortable. Plain hard and heavy wood (or good imitation) with nothing on top to soften the contact ;-) There are a couple of ”kayaks” and 2 ”surf” boards to use for free. What I missed most in the hotel was facing caring and welcoming employees. There was no hello, no good morning (except at the restaurant for breakfast and even there not always) or good day. Mostly no eye contact. With very very few exceptions the staff was distant, not welcoming and, well, not helping really. John the manager does his job professionally but I missed a deeper contact. Chinh in charge of the egg station (very good omelets) and pho was great and fun and helpful. So was Thienh (?) in the kitchen cooking wonderful plates with fish for me every night. A bright smile. A desire to please guests. Genuinely. I loved that ... and of course the food he prepared. Tâm in the restaurant was also very professional and helpful. These guys helped me feel better at the resort. Hospitality throughout Vietnam is absolutely great so my experience ”chez Carole” surprised me quite a bit. Overall the resort feels old and just maintained to survive. Dull in my opinion but, agreed, this is very personal. Also it is obviously in a remote place. It is some 2 or 3 Km walk/drive to the closest village therefore renting a motorbike or using Grab (or just asking the hotel for taxi) can be something to consider. Btw the closest Vinbus (free electric buses throughout the island, running every 15 minutes or so) stop is roughly 4 Km from the resort. I booked one of the cheapest rooms. Spacious with a desk, a good sized fridge, a locker and an efficient air conditioning system. Weird enough the fridge would only work with the key in the key holder. So taking the key with you would shut down power (electricity) for all devices, including the fridge. Not ideal to keep anything cool in the fridge when leaving for the day... The breakfast was nothing exceptional I found, especially for guests suffering from food ”incompatibilities” (in my case ”sugary” items because of diabetes due to surgery). For ”normal” people the spread was quite good with a large sweet section (breads, cakes, fruits). Unless you really want it quiet, secluded, next to a beach and with an affinity for more ”traditional” housing architecture resp. feeling with an interesting pricing, you may want to also consider other options.
