Cedars 27, 21-26 Dec 2024 The Good: Prior to arrival Wood Winds staff was kind, very helpful in answering questions and even confirmed the unit had a crockpot and type of coffee maker. Immediately provided new skillet, mattress topper and clean blankets upon our request. Received a military discount - thank you! Location of unit is absolutely fantastic - true ski in/ski out. Unit is spacious and accommodates 2 families well. Plenty of pillows provided. The Bad: Unit needs a deep clean. Two showers had mold; mgmt stated unit was just deep cleaned. Kitchenware needs updated; many unsafely loose, chipped particles in food, and/or fell apart while cooking. Mattresses poor quality/old and need replaced; mgmt stated they were new. One twin mattress had nothing between the springs and cover. Bed linens are old and dirty; cheap quality. Blankets stained/torn, had hair on them and smelled dirty. Several pillows need thrown out due to stains. Washing machine started smoking and stopped working mid cycle. Called mgmt but no one came to repair machine during our stay. Dryer vent also not connected properly and vents back into the room, coating walls with lint and water. Active water leak through ceiling into kitchen. Immediately called emergency number; was told that happens often and not use that shower. Upon check out, office associate was dismissive of issues/concerns, and unapologetic for unsatisfactory conditions. I offered to walkthrough unit with her but she said it was unnecessary. It seems Wood Winds/unit 27 owner relies on location and does not care about unit upkeep/maintenance. A small investment into the property could make the guest experience and comfort of stay much better. Wood Winds site reviews differ from others. Look elsewhere for accurate guest feedback.
