The down Inn

I felt compelled to write a review. We had the most fabulous Sunday roast. The staff were so friendly and working so hard. The service was impeccable and everyone seemed happy to be there. The food was sublime, from the peas to the beef to the desserts.

The room was very clean and a good size. Breakfast was great, a good selection with very friendly and helpful staff. It was a good location for us to see friends and spend time with them for a very reasonable cost. Thank you

This is a lovely place. Great prices and food was amazing. Staff where very helpful and nice to talk to. Would recommend this place to anyone.

We were greeted at the bar by a happy friendly face, always makes you feel special. We had a ground floor room which was spacious. The food was very good, the staff were excellent at all times, different staff at breakfast and evenings, but always the same high standard. Close to Bridgnorth but not in the town. A peaceful location.

The staff are friendly and very caring. The food was lovely - Sunday carvery was excellent. The room was spacious and well equipped.

Booking direct was easy. We had the Accessible room for 4 nights. The largest & nicest wet room we have seen. The large bedroom was very comfortable .The owners were very nice and the service provided by the staff was first class. Excellent menu choice where I was able to obtain vegetables from the cavery for my sea bass instead of the usual chips and peas. The quality of the food was excellent. Plenty of parking especially at the rear with a separate entrance for the accessible room. The Inn itself is very spacious and well decorated with quiet areas to suit all. The Down Inn is highly recommended.

Food and the ambiance were very good. Pleasent and courteous staff. Rooms very comfortable and in keeping with the age of the property. Clean and quiet.

Comfortable but disappointing food. The hotel was OK for an overnight stay. Reasonably comfortable and clean. The carvery was rather overcooked and slightly shrivelled. Breakfast was OK but the sausages were undercooked and the coffee was undrinkable.

The Down was picked as the location fitted best for our 50 wedding Celebration. We booked to stay for the night. The whole experience was Brilliant. From our arrival to when we left we could not have had a better experience. The staff seemed so relaxed but everything was perfect, the bedrooms we booked were large and well appointed. When we eventually did go to bed we found the bed very comfortable. Our celebration wes attended by 50 plus guests who all complimented how well the room was . The bar staff did everything asked plus . They joined in with dancing behind the bar which just made the night better. The breakfast the following morning was brilliant. As a 50th wedding Anniversary we could not have found better anywhere . Star rating they raised the barrier. If 5 is the tops The Down is a 6. Well done. We will be back.
