The room had cob webs and a spider,table end was broken, the lamp was broken,hair in the bath and table, the family changing room for swimming was dead fly broken human nails so much dirty hair on the changing mat and the table it was sat on , going into the swimming pool the metal pillar holding the building was very very rusty and some of the staff from the hotel and the dining are was so rude
We was told we would get another room the next day as we was staying for couple of days and we didn’t even get another room as we was promised and now there disputing about a refund
I would never go back there again I was hoping it would be nice for my wife and kids as they had a pool etc

Food was good, hotel room was clean, leisure facilities were poor, jacuzzi bare worked, steam room didn’t work, swimming pool was full and the sauna was tiny!

I have stayed in this hotel several times but this time it seemed to have lost its edge. The lounge area was dirty with dust on the decorative shelves, and it all seemed shabby. My room (219) was ok, but nothing special. For the money i paid i would have expected a safe and a small refrigerator. There were two double beds and we used only one, but could not get comfortable as it had a double sized duvet and the most enormous ill fitting duvet cover i have ever seen. Consequently, everything felt loose and uncomfortable. My final moan is about the bathroom. The sink plug did not work and the sink did not hold water. Why had this not been reported by one of the cleaners? And finally, when are hotels going to put a safety grab handle on the wall above the bath. How do they expect elderly people who want to shower, to step into the bath safely without something to hold onto ? It defies belief, and where do you hang your towels after you have washed and dried yourself, there are no hooks anywhere ! Not good for a hotel that classifies itself as 4 star !

Staff were brilliant and helpful! Went to the gym also in my stay anf the staff there just as helpful and great.

This hotel had so much going for it yet failed to deliver. Our first task on arrival was to re-make the bed! This was no easy task as neither the sheets nor the duvet cover were the right size for the bed. We had no bedside light on one side of the bed and our key card needed re-programming on each night of our 4 night stay! We had a telephone beside the bed, but it wasn’t attached to anything. Neither was the TV!
Was there anything good? Yes, super friendly young staff and very good breakfasts.
The hotel was just tired and needed management to step up to the plate.
