The hotel reception gave me my room key and when I arrived at my room it was still being cleaned. Very tired hotelbut given its age it was excellent. Breakfast was above excellent, especially the egg station. Excellent poached eggs. My room overlooked, rubbish and large fans. Health club, sauna was out of order.

Good location Lovely hotel We had a queen size room which was cozy but big enough Decorated lovely Didn’t seem to hear much noise during the night Downsides -No mini fridge in room -Only one towel hook in bathroom for wet towels -Only seemed to be shared changing areas for swimming pool -one for males one for females- I feel a couple of private changing rooms could be added for privacy

The room was modern and clean and the staff were friendly but the best bit about this hotel is the location - on the seafront and close to shops bars and restaurants. The spa area was a bit disappointing, it’s more a leisure centre and very busy when we visited so don’t expect too much relaxation as there are not even loungers to sit/lie on. We didn’t eat breakfast in the hotel as there are many great restaurants in Brighton so I cannot comment on the brekkie. We attended the NYE dinner/dance at the hotel and it was brilliant! Great entertainment, lovely food - a fabulous time had by all and a lovely way to see in 2026! Brighton in general is a lovely place to visit, lots of bars, restaurants and shops - especially the Lanes which is full of small independents which are just fab! There’s lots to do and see! We took a short walk from the hotel to the i360 tower. A great way to see Brighton from the sky and we managed to catch it at sunset - so magical! I would definitely recommend!

I got hurt in the middle of my stay at the hotel, which is very bad experience for me, for coming there in a first time, they putting a sharp edge metal at the bathroom shower door, which is very dangerous and not acceptable to be there, I got injured last night, which I was taking my shower. I need help as I got injured ? There’s a big line mark at my back.

We were allocated our room at 4pm but highly dissatisfied with room 458 too dark and the bathroom lights did not work, we requested a different room and the staff were very efficient and polite to reallocate us to room 257. However the shower we found was not big enough or able to cope with the shower water which was  spilling round the glass screen and over the side and flooding  the bathroom causing a slip hazard. We had lunch in the bar and waited nearly an hour for our food to arrive reminding the staff twice that we were there, we did revive a complimentary drink. On the whole for the price we paid we feel the standard does not support the price and sadly would not book again.

Nice hotel. Refurbished a few years ago and still looking very smart. Rooms very comfy but in the small side. Breakfast was a good selection.

Everything was perfect except the check-in time. 4 pm, even if it’s written in the ad, is NOT acceptable. Everybody should refuse that. It’s too late. No hotel in the world should allow you to check in so late.

We stayed for a night and we got a very good costumer service from Eric at the reception.

This is an old, historic building. The bedding was comfortable and breakfast was decent. The only downside was that the bathroom heater wasn't working, so it was a bit chilly when showering. Everything else was great. We originally booked a standard room, but upgraded to a sea-view room with a balcony at the front desk for an additional £50 per night. The room was very spacious, even with a sofa bed added, there was still plenty of room.

Absolutely amazing hotel and staff, could not fault at all! It was mums 60th birthday who I came with and the staff had sorted 2 drinks vouchers to use in the bar and we came back into the room with a slice of cake with a birthday note! Honestly so perfect and it being right on the seafront is stunning too :)

The most uncomfortable sleep of my entire life, the mattress caused me back pain

Nice polite welcome with a warm cookie on arrival. Pool and steam room were book only, and was busy with members. A huge selection at breakfast.
