West Beach Hotel Brighton

The reception was nice, and the receptionist kindly allowed us to check in earlier than the normal check-in time since the room was already available. However, once we were in the room, we noticed that the shower water was not draining quickly enough. Luckily, the receptionist was kind enough to let us use another room on the same floor to take a shower. Unfortunately, the room itself was not very clean and felt quite old. It definitely needs some refurbishment and better maintenance.

Perfect location for the beach. Excellent for restaurants and supermarkets.My room was perfect overlooking the beach;seeing sun rise over the water was awesome.The room was well stocked with teas and coffee complimented with emergency toothpaste and toothbrush as well as shaver and shaving cream. I didn't need those but it was Very thoughtful.to have them available. I did not need to engage with staff other than check-in but each time I passed reception someone was there. I am planning my next stay before end of year.

Brilliant budget stay!! Staff were so chilled, polite and friendly, couldn’t have had better service! The rooms were spacious and clean. Corridors a little narrow and ran down and the room wasn’t sound proof but couldn’t fault it other than that, especially not for the price. Didn’t have breakfast but you have the option to add it on in the morning if you fancy it. Room had tea and coffee (no fridge) and we also had a sea view, great location. Deffo recommend :)

Excellent location. Room was a lot bigger than expected and had a really comfy bed. Added bonus of a fan in this summer heat was very welcomed.

Location is fantastic but the services could have been better such as a tv in the room and i understand its a victorian place but it was really hot inside

We asked for quiet room twice but they NEVER pay attention. The room very noisy during night time because close to the street... A bit disappointed about the room. The others was okay.

I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel was clean, although tired looking from the outside. The rooms are clean,with tea making facilities and a hairdryer. There is shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, hand soap, as well as a toothbrush and the smallest tube of tooth paste - enough for 2 times. The staff are friendly but the reception area looks tired and busy. The continental breakfast, in my opinion, is not worth paying for. The breakfast area is the only communal area as the restaurant is closed at the moment.. The location was great and it is easy to get around from here.
