An uncomfortable stay for me. Although the location is great and close to the pier, the quality of the hotel is questionable. The service upon entry was fine and very fast. The rooms are well-sized but unclean and dusty. The chest of drawers in my room were full of old food and cigarettes, and the sheets provided had moths. The bathroom is clean and okay. The walls are thin so I could hear people’s every word from outside the room at night. Overall, as a young woman travelling, I felt unsafe and unfortunately will have to find elsewhere next time.

This is my favorite place to stay in Brighton! It’s quiet and laid back, the location is amazing and it’s cheaper to stay here than anywhere else. Definitely recommend.

Avoid. We booked last minute and paid over £100 for a room that was damp and dirty. We didn’t sleep because the bed and pillows were really, really hard, it was like sleeping on a plank of wood. There was a discarded mattress down the road that looked more comfortable. The bathroom was dirty and the toilet seat broken. The tiny room was also dirty. It rained in the night and you could hear loud drips of water coming into the room through the window, in the morning everything nearest the window was soaked. It was so loud, there may as well have been no window, the walls were really thin, the doors slammed closed whenever anyone came in or out of their room and you could hear every creak in the building. We wish we had read the reviews as it was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Avoid.

Dirty, noisy and bed of bricks When we arrived we were given the key and not told where to find our room, there were no signs and it took us going up and down the very narrow and steep stairs twice before we found our room number. It was very ‘cosy’ in the room, by that I mean they had clearly tried to make the rooms as small as possible so they could have more in this ‘house’. The carpet on the stairs should have been the first sign of the disrepair in the hotel but the carpet in our room was just disgusting (see photos) and made it feel disgusting. The bathroom was similarly unclean. The view was quite nice and it was close by to the beach/pier and town centre and there are tea and coffee making facilities but that’s the only positive thing I can say. The door and walls were very thin and we could hear everything and everyone else in the hotel moving around. The bed was like bricks, so uncomfortable and I don’t think I would have slept if I wasn’t so tired. I did not feel safe in this hotel and the lack of cleanliness made me feel dirty and icky. I appreciate it was bank holiday weekend but for what we got I think we massively overpaid. I will not be returning here ever.

Terrible place. Dirt everywhere. beds worse than in prison. Bedding dirty and unpleasant. The photos on *********** are different than in reality. My whole body itched the next day. We were supposed to be there for two nights, after the first night we left this terrible place in the morning. I will never go back there. Terrible, terrible, terrible

Laterooms cheapest place after a hostel, you get what you pay for. The person on the phone who I spoke to about parking didn't have great customer service but hey ho, the £20 charge for parking is far too steep! The place is abit seedy looking from the outside and I had to call one of 3 mobile numbers to get someone to let us in, he was nice enough so thank you. The carpet to go up is worn, the room (6) was dusty and had cobwebs, afew odd stains dotted about, slap dash painting and grouting, the bed was nice but very creaky, the floor was uneven, I had to prop open the window with my empty pot noodle, but it did the job though. I thought for a minute we had no bathroom, but opened up what looked to be a cupboard and voila a small bathroom with toilet, sink and small shower which was nice and adequate, but not for tall people. We had a TV, kettle, and the room was nice and warm. After reading some reviews I was abit worried, but had no troubles, not much noise and a 11am check out which was nice. Cheap for a reason but good for what you pay.

The place looks abit umm whorish and I felt like I was a prozzy going in but it was ok ish,the hallway was ok few bits needing work, I’ve rated it 3 as it was dusty the floor scared the crap out of me I felt like I could fall through to the floor below the bed was clean the floor was dirty and so was the bathroom it could definitely do with some work it could be a 4star if they paid more attention to the rooms then the money 20 pounds for parking is taking the p to be honest the man at the door could learn abit of customers service.

Faulty towers without the laughs - the guy at reception is ridiculously grumpy, customers usually arrive happy and excited for getaways but not here that smile gets wiped away as soon as you approach the reception desk to “check in” and by that I mean happily announce your name and booking to a response of a half nod with a raised eyebrow 🤨 then a silent handover of a key with a number on it all while whatever he was watching on his phone ( that of course I rudely interrupted by, arriving ) is still squawking away loudly on his desk… key handover complete he silently goes back to screen - I think this meant F off to your room I am busy. So off I went shrugging it off … I should have checked the reviews before booking I usually always do but this time I was in a rush to “get away from it all” to focus on catching up with some overdue work on laptop and some soul restoration by the sea. … I won’t bother going into too much detail because I gotta start packing to check out in less than an hour, all I can say is DO NOT book this place especially as a solo female traveller, it felt very unsafe at night especially when I noticed that the 24 hour staff info was BS and that actually means the receptionist disappears at night and is gone until mid afternoon. There was a hand written note stuck onto the reception with instruction to call in emergency any, in a list of anonymous mobile numbers. One of which I did call to change rooms the next morning unfortunately for me I failed the lucky dip and happened to have my call answered by the same guy who checked me in … or maybe he has all 4 phones who knows 🤷🏽♀️ The experience has however made for very good future party conversation as then it kind of became a faulty towers experience - intermittently scalding hot showers that fell off the wall while in use, lack of loo roll, a tv that was not smart in fact it was pretty dumb and of course all the clunky bedroom doors with of course nothing put in place to absorb the slam and crunch of the other guest’s movements ..so yep here I am about to leave here pretty exhausted from a rubbish sleep with what was a weird experience set in a fabulous location right next to the beach and pier. 🏖️

I booked this hotel for myself and partner, when booking the room we were only given the option of non refundable, be aware of this if you book, they don’t accept the error of this. We then read the reviews on trip advisor so decided that as an elderly couple, this hotel was not safe to stay in. I contacted them to ask for a refund which they refused. I raised all of my concerns with them but they told me they were unfounded - I felt that trusting the reviews was safer so we decided to go else where, sadly we lost our money but at least we felt safer. Be careful there are cheaper and nicer hotels in Brighton.

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in! It was awful from when you walked in to checking out. The bedsheets had stains on them, the shower was mouldy with no hot water and the main lobby carpet was worn with holes in it. The fire alarm was hanging off the ceiling, there were nails in the wall where pictures had previously been and water marks down the walls and the 24 hour desk they advertise is just a mobile phone number. All the pictures on their website are misleading and not at all representative of the actual room. We were charged £161 per night for 2 adults and even £20 would have been too much The stained bedsheets were awful but nothing could be done when we were going to bed, as there wasn’t a front desk. It felt totally unclean and disgusting.

NOT SAFE!!! This place should be closed down is more a drug house than hotel with no staff after check in. We only stayed here because of the train strikes because of no staff we felt trapped. Banging all night and day from upstairs. No clean towels.everything was grimy and filthy they should be ashamed. It faces a road of houses not a waterfront view so don't be fooled by photos. There was a tablet on the floor and room is filled with black mould and smells of mould. We slept with the light on its so scary. There was like a wash lotion but smell it, it smells vile don't use it. As you go up the stairs your see bits of the carpet pulled and we felt that could only be from rodents. The room had not been not cleaned for a long time. I will share photos how vile. Your only left with mobile number that don't worked if call for emergency. I had my daughter with me it should be illegal to let children and adults in a place like that. This is how I imagine a bail hotel to be. No room in shower or toilet. Shower floods as has no proper drainage.weird broken peice of furniture.not comfy bed but you wont get sleep anyway . Exposed toilets brush so it badly stinks. Don't risk staying here - we both came home ill. They shamefully disappear after check in so you can't get your money back and rebook somewhere else.
