Beech House

After a long journey, I arrived one evening and immediately noticed a very strong smell of gas in entrance and hallway. I rang the contact line and was put through to an out of hours security guard. He contacted the emergency contact for me and then I called him back for an update. I was told that it can wait until tomorrow. I was worried as the smell was so strong so I called out South West Utilities emergency line and had a few calls with them. They arrived and after some reluctance over the phone, Beech House contact gave them the access code for the gas room next to the entrance where the smell was coming from. The gas engineer spent several hours identifying many leaks coming out of the gas meters in there. Alarmed at the following: - Lazy and irresponsible dangerous attitude to want to leave something like a gas smell until a day later - The fact the maintenance hadnt been carried out to prevent leaks in the gas meters - The fact that noone bothered to attend in person when they knew gas engineer utilities were on site - The fact that I put this in their feedback and noone bothered to respond - I spent most of my evening dealing with this I will never stay here again.

Favourite place Amazing stay by far the only place I would stay when I come back!

It was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, the shower door did not close properly so water would seep onto the bathroom floor. And because the only access to the front door and unit door is by using that mobile app on the phone, it was anxiety-inducing because what happens if your phone runs out of power? Since there are lockboxes right by the front door, they need to have actually keys as an option.

A lovely apartment in a well kept building. The room was spotlessly clean, well equipped and nicely laid out - would stay again!

With the check in process being completely electronic and parking available it was very quick and easy to get started with our stay. The apartment building itself seemed very secure and private. You are a 15 minute walk from the city centre, so the city was accessible but the apartment location was relatively secluded in comparison. The apartment was a lot bigger than expected and extremely clean. Couldn’t hear any noise from other rooms and the temperature at night was perfect (not too hot) even though we were on the second floor. Had no issues with the electronic key and would highly recommend a stay here.
