My first time staying at the Moxy hotel in Bristol and I am delighted with the experience! I’m a solo female traveller so safety is a top priority for me, my room was safe clean and beautiful. the staff were super friendly and welcoming, very helpful and the location for Ubers to pick up and drop off is ideal. the food was lovely and I really love the style of the bar and overall hotel it’s beautiful, I will definitely be staying here again!

I got a great deal on this stay but it was marred by a long wait checking in with staff confused that I hadn't fully paid and wanting to charge me full price. They eventually let me in and said they thought it was an error between trip.com and hotel and would sort. Have stayed before and had similar long checkin - unsure if relates to Trip.com bookings or generally slow! Wasn't charged the £10 deposit. Very comfy bed. Front of hotel covered in scaffolding but didn't affect stay as left before work started in morning. No tea spoons in room (not even wooden ones, as is typical these days!) just wooden stirrers. Towel in bathroom torn. Nice toiletries. Quiet room aside from road noise

I stayed at Moxy for 2 days and, unfortunately, my experience did not meet expectations. The hotel is currently under construction, which blocks the window view entirely. This took away from the atmosphere and comfort I was hoping for during my stay. The standard room and bathroom were quite small, and the overall condition of the room seemed worn. The carpet appeared old and faded in some areas, and the general cleanliness could be improved to meet higher standards. Another small but important point – there was no complimentary drinking water provided in the room, which is a basic facility many hotels usually offer. While I appreciate the efforts of the staff, I believe the hotel could benefit from some updates and better preparation during the renovation period. I wouldn’t recommend it for couples or those looking for a relaxing stay at the moment, but hope it improves in the future once construction is completed. Let me know if you’d like to add anything about staff service, location, or value for money.

Good hotel but terribly understaffed and poorly managed, which completely lets it down. There was no breakfast because of "poor staffing" and no apology or goodwill gesture! Shocking! Nice facilities and a really convenient location, just a short walk away from Bristol Bus Station. The gym was useful and the lobby area is a comfortable area to hang out in with nice seating. The room was really clean, and the bed was comfortable which is always so important - they also provided plenty of pillows. The only downside was that there is no AC in the winter... Our room was consistently over 24C. There is a sign on the wall explaining that they don't offer AC in the winter because they recommend opening the window instead. This would be reasonable however our room was directly overlooking a very busy main road which was busy 24/7 and very loud. Also the window only opened a small amount hence there wasn't much airflow at all - the lowest I could get the reading in the room to show was 23.5C. There is a fan provided in the room which provides some relief although again, this was loud. Our main issue with the stay was that it was terribly understaffed, and the staff who were there didn't seem to apologise or have the customer service skills to explain this respectfully. When we arrived there was a long queue to check in taking at least half an hour. Breakfast was provided but when we came downstairs in the morning, we were not advised that there was almost no food whatsoever for us to eat. All of the pastries had been completely taken, and there was hardly any hot food left whatsoever. The cereal and oats were all but finished. There were no plates, bowls, cutlery or mugs left. We were left standing in the breakfast area with other guests looking at each other like *** is going on here, what do we do now? I asked the staff member who simply replied "we're understaffed, they're cooking more food" which consisted of the odd batch of sausages or eggs coming out on their own every 15 mins. They did not apologise, even say sorry once, or offer any compensation. Other guests were complaining that they'd been waiting 45 mins for plates and still didn't have any. This is shocking for an expensive city centre hotel run by the Marriott group of hotels. We probably won't stay again - outrageous.

Great Hotel The staff is amazing and rooms are very good. Nice furniture and amazing main floor with bar, games and everything you need to relax. Super recommended if you're in Bristol especially by bar (the main city car park is just opposite the hotel; and with your reservation you have 30% discount).
