Big 12 Motel Broken Bow NE

I booked online and when I tried to check-in the management said my reservation had been canceled. (I even showed them the email I had received) They weren't clear as to the reason, something about the time of the year. They said I could have the room for nearly twice as much as my confirmed (but allegedly canceled) reservation said it would be. I had no choice but to pay as I wouldn't be able to find another place due to a major event in the area. I felt completely taken and bamboozled. Be ware. The room did NOT warrant the money I paid. The place is rough and I heard trains every couple of hours, all night, coming thru town on the tracks right behind the motel.

We arrived after 10 hours of driving to find they had cancelled all reservations without notifying me or the company I booked through. They had a supposed construction problem. The driveway and parking area was cracked and broken. The overall look was extremely run down. In the long run we were glad not to stay there except for the 90 minute call to get another hotel and then being charged for the new and old room that took a week to resolve.

We were surprised and happy to find practically brand new refrigerator, microwave, and coffee maker at a property that so desperately needs updating. That said, it was clean and comfortable, and the woman that checked us in was very helpful.

The room needs updated. Bathroom linoleum is torn in places. Parking lot is breaking up and has pot holes.
