Hotel Jacobs

We enjoyed our stay in the Hotel Jacob in Brugge. We were greeted when we arrived by the receptionist Khalid, who was very friendly. Our room was spacious with a big bathroom and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good with a choice of some lovely fresh breads. Our room could do with some small maintenance but all in all a great stay. By the way, bus number 2 takes you from Brugge train station very close to the hotel.

The staff were very helpful and informative. The room we had was small, about a foot between our bed and window and end of bed. The room was clean and lovely bed. The bathroom is also small with a shower so if you like to sing and wave your arms then you'll tear down the curtain. The door lock didn't work from the inside, and our milk wasn't topped up after the room was cleaned for a cuppa. We would stay again and enjoyed the visit, about 15 minutes walking to the Market

Just back from a fabulous stay at Hotel Jacob in Bruges. On arrival the super friendly receptionist checked us in and brought out a map of the city to point out places he'd recommend. We paid for a superior room and requested a bath which we got, beautiful room.. snuggly warm, which was welcome given the cold and wet weather we arrived in! The room was spotlessly clean, with tea/coffee making facilities, working TV and WiFi, plus the fluffiest towels I've had the joy of wrapping myself in after a hot bath. The bed was super comfy, bedding spotless and was refreshed the following morning. You do hear a few creaks of the floorboards from around the hotel but this is an old an beautiful building.. not much you can do about that and after a good walk round the city... we slept like the dead! Breakfast is superb, great selection of anything you could want. The bar is petite but beautiful, gorgeously decorated. We were the only couple there and had great craic with the man on duty that evening. He warned us to drink the triple slowly... oh how I wish I listened ...... If you're looking for a place that won't break the bank, a short walk from the centre of Brugge and a decent enough dander from the station, this place is for you! Thank you Hotel Jacob!

Hotel Jacobs was a lovely hotel with everything we needed! Our room was clean, warm and adequate storage space for our needs. Reception staff were so helpful and welcoming with their hints and tops for our short stay in Brugge. The location is also within perfect walking distance to the main areas of Brugge.

Cozy and charming hotel in Bruges. Accommodations were very nice, clean. But the highlight of this hotel was definitely the warm and caring staff, who was always ready to help. Very good location, close to Bruges main attractions. Very nice breakfast as well!

Five stars service, location and property quality

Great place to go out sightseeing from. Not too far to walk into the centre of town (10 mins?) but very quiet area. The room was small but fine for a couple of nights - we were out most of the time as there is so much to do and see. The reception staff were really helpful and gave advice on where to go based on what we are interested in. They provided maps and marked them with places and walking routes. They have a baggage room and were happy to store our things on arrival and departure for the day though we actually arrived early and the room was ready so we could go straight up. It's a small personally run business so if you are expecting chain quality or 4star standards then you're not going to get it but if you want somewhere easy, friendly as a base that's not expensive at all this is great.

There’s was good and bad. The good - The staff were great, really helpful and friendly. The location was great, a short walk to main area and felt safe. The bad - Our small budget room, I won’t bang on about the size, as that’s what’s it’s described as but yes, really very small. The walls - paper thin, could hear everything! The bathroom - covered in mould, really off putting. We only stayed one night and this was a base for us, so no point kicking up a fuss there and then. Maybe better rooms are exactly that! The
