Nothing to recommend here. 5 floors without elevator, and no AC in the rooms. The mattress is clearly from Art Deco times, and the pillows were not actual pillows. The phone in the room had not line and it was impossible to contact the reception. The only way was to use your own phone and find a number (which you will only get by asking), to call. Good luck with that. Not even a water bottle in the room. Plenty of mosquitoes.

A wonderful place to stay. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and well kept. The meals were superb. The cook prepared them fresh. My wife is gluten intolerant and the food was good for her. I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel. It is a short walk to the metro or 30 minutes from the Centre of Brussels.

When I see high ratings I always wonder who all these people who write positive reviews, and what is their life experience? The hotel is overrated. Two nights in this hotel appeared to be dangerous, and I would like to warn the others. So, two main problems: bedbugs. I suffer badly. First time something like this happened to me. If you don't want to experience the same, stay away from the hotel. Second very serious problem: badly working electricity system (see pic attached). Though I filed a complaint stating that the electric wire/cable was cracking, my complaint was just ignored. A man at the reception looked at me as a stupid, stating that everything was normal. For him maybe, but for people sleeping in the hotel it could be their last night alive. And other minor problems: poor and unprofessional cleaning and extreme noise. You will have an impression that other people live in your room, and probably they think the same.

Do not stay here if you want sleep or privacy. Unprofessional staff and set up. Constant noise: every step & stomp is audible (and no lift, so perpetual stair noises), constant slamming doors, construction, church bells, music blasting in the hallways early in the morning. When I called downstairs to ask about the music, it was too noisy for the front desk to even hear me. I barely slept. Then someone walked in on me changing despite a DO NOT DISTURB sign - and me telling them I needed a moment. Not even a hand towel in the bathroom. I wouldn’t even leave my luggage here. The only hotel I’ve ever wanted a refund from. It’s a hole in the wall, and not in the cute boutique way. I ended up getting a day hotel instead of enjoying my one day in Brussels, so that I could get just a bit of rest. Horrible experience.

L'emplacement était exactement là où nous voulions, prix correct, ménage correct (sauf les douches de pluie). Établissement avec une ambiance très agréable et très charmant cependant j'ai passé une nuit horrible car les clients de la chambre au dessus de la nôtre se sont mis a faire un bruit monstre a 4h du matin parler fort faire les 100 pas et impossible de me rendormir et cela a duré pas loin d'une heure, l'hôtel n'y est pour rien mais bon... La température de la douche était très limite (pas assez chaude). Du coup endroit chouette mais mauvaise expérience, dommage

Un hôtel de charme dans le centre historique de Bruxelles. L’immeuble a été conçu en 1930 par Léon Govaerts. C’est un bel exemple de l’Art Déco Belge. Il est situé proche de la Grand-Place, de la rue Neuve (zone commerçante), du métro Place de Brouckère, etc. L'accueil est bienveillant et au rendez-vous. Le personnel est très accueillant. Notre chambre était grande, calme. Aucun bruit de rue. Mini bar, TV, double douche à l’Italienne, etc. Petit déjeuner très copieux le matin dans la taverne au nez-de-chaussée. Style des années 30, vitraux, ambiance d’époque. Nous avons tout aimé. Et pour notre prochaine étape à Bruxelles, ce sera à nouveau l’Hôtel Espérance. Merci..

Hotel art déco juste excellent... très bien conservé/restauré... un petit hôtel intimiste... super bien placé en hyper centre... Une patronne à l'écoute et très accueillante.... Les chambres sont confortables, on n'a pas eu celle avec la baignoire à pied.... mais on était ravi des nôtres même si elles sont un peu petite... l'ambiance dans la partie Taverne est extra... on se croirait dans les années 30, si vous aimez comme nous l'art déco c'est l hotel qu'il vous faut! Ne pas manquez une bonne bière dans laTaverne avant d'aller se coucher....

Nous avons séjourné une nuit dans cet établissement... Hôtel typique,chambre correct, salle de bain plutôt sympathique,la vue pas terrible(mais c est un détail) central a proximité de la grand place ... Hôtel sans ascenseur il n y a que 9 chambres😉 Le Monsieur qui nous a accueilli était vraiment très sympathique,le petit déjeuner excellent !bon rapport qualité prix,je recommande fortement cet établissement 🙂
