Having stayed at several Holiday Inn Express before, our recent experience fell far short of expectations. Several issues happened during our stay:
1. Wifi connectivity: Wifi in our rooms was slow and unstable. Furthermore, there was an outage one night that lasted well into the following morning. When we contacted the front desk for help, we were left on hold for over 10mins and eventually had to go down to the reception. We were then told nothing could be done. It would have been appreciated if the staff has provided more reassurance that they are doing their best to resolve the issue.
2. Accountability for damages: Our travel bottle was damaged during housekeeping, yet there was no acknowledgment or effort to address it. Accidents can happen but communication would have gone a long way.
3. Condition of common facilities: The common bathroom was in poor condition, with a hole in the ceiling and cables with water dripping down. This issue was left unresolved throughout our three day stay which was quite concerning.
