Every time I come to Budapest, I will choose to stay in this hotel. Here are a few reasons:
â Good location: very close to the city center, it is relatively convenient to walk to the White Bridge and the Freedom Bridge, and there are relatively many supporting restaurant options aroundđŽ
âĄNew hotel: The room is fully equipped with facilities and the space is not cramped. Most of the bathrooms in German hotels are equipped with drying racks, which are very friendly for washing and drying clothes in winterđ
âąGood breakfast: The hotel has quite a few breakfast options. One time when I was catching a flight in the early morning, the things in the take-away breakfast bag prepared by the hotel were extremely delicious, and there were also drinks (after all, buying water in Europe is not cheapđ)

A renovated old hotel with a beautiful lobby and slightly inferior room decoration. The mattresses are comfortable and the street is not noisy. Some doormen are chatting and ignoring guests when they open the door. The service needs to be improved.

Positive experience at the Danubius Astoria. The charm of its 4 stars is noticeable once you cross the threshold, thanks to the empire furnishings and the beautiful marbles well matched with the wood finishes. When we came to Budapest, a friend picked us up at the hotel. We followed the navigation and turned around for several circles before we found it. In fact, the location is quite good. There is a parking space at the door, so we can stop for a while to take our luggage. The hotel lobby feels very retro. On the first day, I was not used to English yet, so I didn't take the initiative to greet the handsome guy at the front desk, and the handsome guy didn't say a word to us. After checking in, I found that it looked like a three-star hotel in China in the last century. Although the bed was narrow, it was very comfortable. The hotel does not provide toiletries, only a bottle of glass water, and a bottle of water was provided for several nights. In winter, the room was not cold at all, and there was heating. It takes 4 minutes to walk to the subway station. There is a supermarket next to the subway station. It is very close to the Danube River. It is no problem to walk to the Central Market. We didn't get over the jet lag on the first day, and woke up at 4 am (actually it was 11 noon in China, 7 hours later). So, we walked out at 6 am, went to the subway station to buy a one-day transportation ticket, and then went to the Central Market for a walk. It is recommended not to go too early, because many shops are not open. I only bought bread at the AlDI supermarket in the basement for breakfast. Friends who come here, get up early and go to Fisherman's Bastion! Take a ride on the retro tram here.

The hotel is gorgeous!! Breakfast spread was alright; nothing too special but the architecture of the space was very lovely. The live classical music was an added bonus.
We had issues with the shower and after two attempts to fix it, we were moved to another room. We appreciated the gesture.
The weather was extremely hot and it was very unpleasant to be out but we were able to walk down to the port in 20 mins, so the location was great.
We tried to get in a spa treatment but it was fully booked, we should've pre-booked before arriving!
All in all, a lovely few days.

The transportation is very convenient. It is just opposite the West Railway Station. There is a light rail line in front of the door, which makes it convenient to go anywhere. The service staff are very good. The room is small but clean. The breakfast style is sufficient, with some small changes every day. I highly recommend this hotel when traveling to Budapest!

SStrozekI had a great stay at Hotel President. The location is convenient, very close to Basilica and Danube the room is clean, no noise from the street, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Nice breakfast with some local food . I highly recommend this place.

MMarkThis is a nice 4 star hotel overlooking the Danube on the Budapest side of the river. Superior rooms are at the front of the hotel, which is the newer part. You have a choice of River View or Castle view, River view is better and attracts a supplement. Our reservation through Trip mentioned Castle view and River view, but you cannot have both! Breakfast is a good choice of hot and cold food, nice coffee and cakes. Rooms are well equipped, clean and serviced daily. Good hot water. Bathrooms have a bath with over bath shower. Toiletries are provided. Towels changed daily. Rooms have safes, kettle with tea and coffee making facilities. The TV was a Cable TV and had a variety of channels, one English, BBC. The hotel has a bar and restaurant and a gym. Staff are very helpful, we managed to check in early and upgrade our room to one with a River view. A good selection of nice restaurants are within 10 mins walk. The hotel is situated directly beneath the Castle, access by the steps or via the funicular which is 5 min walk along by the river, alternatively large buggy vehicles operate a hop on hop off shuttle service. We found that the Bolt taxi service (bit like Uber) is very good. We has a freelance taxi driver try to scam us by not using his meter, we refused to pay and invited him to call the police. Avoid freelance taxi drivers and make sure they use their meters. Bolt uses an app and was a lot cheaper than the price the hotel informed us if we used their taxi service. GGuest UserIn the entire hostel there was a smell of dust. Sometimes I could not even breath. Addtionally bed was so uncomfortable and made noise even you turn around in the middle of the night. Crew was friendly and good location

ćŒ ćŒ This is a family hotel.
1. There are two check-in points. But the names are different. The store did not explain. It cost a lot of trouble on the day of check-in. I stood in the cold wind for more than 20 minutes that night.
2. No catering. There is also no refrigerator. The surrounding restaurants are very expensive. The breakfast restaurant introduced by the store is far away. The store's explanation of the address was also unclear, and it took a lot of trouble to eat breakfast for the first time.
3. There is no supermarket within at least one kilometer
4. The hotel is located in a residential building. Go through the security door when going out. The security door is equipped with a door open button, which is 4-5 meters away in a straight line, and the store did not explain. There are two green lights flashing on the security door, always thinking that it is a button to open the door, but it has never been successfully opened, always let passersby help.
5, the reception staff are not skilled. Too much inconvenience for simple check-in.

The check in and out process was difficult because the instructions were contradictory, some instructions indicated the use of app and virtual key and other through real key and case. The check out is too early. 10:00h. 12:00h is the usual time for checkout.

AAbbeyLocated centrally within a short walk to a number of good bars, restaurants and cafes however it can get noisy until the early hours of the morning. The apartment was compact but big enough for 2 people however the bed was a very small queen. There was only 1 coffee capsule for 2 people staying and although there were lots of electrical sockets, they were all for European plugs and not one had a USB connection which would be far more useful for most travellers. The bathroom mirror was laughable - Iâm 5ft 2â and could just see the top of my head in it!
Instructions to gain entry were emailed on check-in day, which also included downloading an app. This wouldâve been useful to know prior to travelling.

GGuest UserReading the reviews, overall I was expecting worse. The room was a little dated but clean, the bathroom ditto. Clean sheets and towels. On the other hand, the pillows offered are really uncomfortable, the mini bar is not working and the breakfast is very poor and without a sweet proposal: I went on for three days on bread, butter and jam. The staff were friendly enough and the location was excellent for getting to the center by public transport.
