Nicely and conveniently located in neighborhood San Telmo with some small shops (one cute empanada shop that is worth trying!) in the street. The people at the reception are very friendly and helpful - if you need a local sim card for your stay you can ask them to help you fix it in 5 minutes. We were a bit less enthusiastic about the rooms - they are quite small (we couldn't fit our two suitcases, but if you're traveling with backpack it should be okay) and a bit outdated and the sheets/pillow smelled musty.. For the same price that we paid, we had a much nicer/cleaner stay in another hotel down the road. The vibe in the hostel was really good though, it seemed like a lot of guests knew each other, so it's a great place to meet people.

The staff at this hotel are fantastic. They were extremely helpful with everything. The breakfast is very basic, perhaps they can add some sausage or bacon and definitely provide bigger plates. The room was also okay, bed comfortable. The design of the basin and tap is very silly though, when opening the tap the water barely reaches the basin. The location is truly great. Overall I'd say it was a good stay.

The wash basin leaked, and even the shower curtain in the bathroom was covered with water. It was not very soundproof and was quite noisy. There is little sense of space, the ladder to the cubicle bed is not easy to climb, and the quilt is itchy. The only good thing is that there is a hair dryer

Don’t go there unless you have no option. It’s noisy and expensive. We left our luggage with them for two weeks and they were wet and moldy when we got it back. Obviously, someone dropped liquid on it or worst, there was a pipe leak! Now I don’t have any warm clothes to go to Patagonia. I have three kids. The only reason we chose to go there is because they offered a luggage deposit and we want to travel “light” for a week Uruguay and an other in Iguazu. So we stayed 4 nights and left some luggage for two weeks. Our stay was not pleasant: the whole hostel is really noisy and we heard everything that was going on in the lobby from our room on the 4th floor. That means we woke up at 6 because the islandic elderly group decided to cheer their guide every morning and went to bed listening to old rock metal every night because the employee at the desk felt that was appropriate ambient music. Not pleasant. Staff is ok and it’s clean, but you can get WAY better in BA for that price.

Very friendly and beyond helpful staff. I showed up without a booking and they managed to accommodate me. Lots of organized hostel activities for those looking to get out and be social. Clean rooms, air conditioning and curtains for the shared dorms! It has a nice common area and a reasonably priced breakfast offered in the mornings. Overall, incredible experience!

We had a good experience overall here, the room was nice, fluffy towels, close to shops, breakfast was very nice and good value ...But it was the staff who made our stay so great. We stayed here at the beginning and then again at the end of our 3 week trip. They booked a taxi for us arriving from the UK which was so reassuring to have in advance. They checked us in early when we arrived. Another colleague explained the currency situation- very helpful. And finally they helped us out in a bit of a crisis. My husband left his mobile in the taxi on the way to the airport when we were leaving Argentina. I called the hostel who had booked the taxi for us and the wonderful woman there contacted the driver and he came back to the airport- you never saw 2 more relieved people! Luckily we had given ourselves extra time at the airport so we were still in plenty of time. I'm so glad we stayed here rather than a hotel. The lonely planet said it was as good as a mid range hotel and it has a lot more going for it with all the help, hints and tips from the staff.

Super helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable room. A bit noisy on 1st floor (2nd floor U.S.) with road noise but not bad. Convenient location to many sites. Breakfast was basic but reasonably priced. We participated in a soccer “tour” event with transportation. The guides were helpful and got us around fine.

Staff was friendly and helpful, and the tours & activities seemed fun, though admittedly I didn't partake. The common areas were lovely and comfortable. The location was great—near sights, restaurants, and public transport. It felt quite safe walking around the area. $72 was really reasonable for a private room, even if it was a 4-bed dorm that they just didn't book anyone else in. All the bathroom-type facilities were frankly gross. The toilet was like the opposite of low-flow, you had to push through gallons of water to flush anything. The faucet over the sink didn't reach all the way so when you washed your hands you spilled water everywhere, which then dripped all over the floor. and the shower was disgusting. Tons of mold, and there was a small barrier in the floor that theoretically was meant to keep the water in the shower part, but really just meant you created an enormous puddle that had no way of draining or drying. Plus, no shelf to put your items. Overall, a fine place to stay a few days in Buenos Aires but it won't be the greatest hostel of your life.

A safe and comfortable place in the center of the city - the 3 most important things I was looking for when trying to book a place. The bed is comfy, hot shower, working wifi, and the bottom floor is a cute reception area. They front desk is very helpful, speak English too. They also offer exchange!! The rate when I stayed was 340 ASR for 1 USD, which was as good as any other place I could find. Would definitely come back here

LOOK OUT. The hotel debits directly from the card without warning, which is twice the price since you cannot then pay in pesos. i am travelling 5 years now first time they charge me without permission. Very clever trick by the hostel to charge double. Of course it is not value for money because the price is ridículous. If you pay in pesos it is a decent hostel, nothing special.not recomended at all. CUIDADO. el hostel te cobra directamente de tu tarjeta en dolares sin avisar, que sea doble del precio en pesos porque te cobran en dolar oficial. Un truco muy inteligente del dueño para cobrarte doble. Me dijeron que me llamaron y mo me poderian encontrar porque comunique para quejarme sobre el precio, pero lo hacen con todos, leen los reviews. El precio es ridículo entonces claro que no lo recomiendo. En la mitad del precio estaría un hostel básico nada especial.

One of the top hostels for the typical solo traveler and understandably so! Plenty of rooms, a common space, and kitchen to come across fellow travelers, and staff offering personal tours, advice, and more to make the most of your stay. Also located in the heart of San Telmo, this Barrio of the city is more authentic and closer to the lifestyle of the locals in my opinion so this serves as a great base to experience the same.
