Dendi Plaza Hotel

Good location by the entrance of the Bukhara old town. Warm and friendly service from the front desk with upgrade offer. Water is not hot during taking the bath, but acceptable.

This was my second time in Bukhara, so I knew the hotel wasn't very close to the old town, which was fine with me as I enjoy walking. However, this was the only hotel in Uzbekistan where I didn't feel welcome. I don't need a grand gesture, but a simple smile and a word of welcome would have been nice. I spoke with another guest who agreed the staff, especially the front desk manager, were quite cold. This impression was reinforced by several issues. The manager miscalculated my tax and laundry charges, which suggested a problem with integrity. This was confirmed when he kept changing the price and timing for a transfer I requested to the Farap border. I eventually took a Yandex, which was both cheaper and more reliable. Be prepared for a cold shoulder and be sure to check your bills carefully if you decide to stay here. Internet speed was pathetic I ended up buying extra data plan.

I didn't take pic of the room as it is just a basic room. The staffs are polite and helpful. They don't speak English very well. The surrounding is very close to places of interest in Bukhara such as Ark of Bukhara, Ismail Museum, Chor Minor. It is very easy to walk around. The proximity from the hotel is within 30min walk.
