The hostel has its ages and our room is more student dormitory like, this meets the expectations as hostel. Everything is clean and tidy, and good enough to stay one night. Breakfast is nice too. The big highlight for this hostel is its surroundings and all outdoor activities (ex. Biking, running, hiking etc). Lots of historical landmarks/buildings and beautiful forests allow you to plan a culture or nature tour. Highly recommended to stay a few more days here to explore more!

Very disappointing stay – Not recommended I stayed at this hotel with my friends (4 people) and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. The room we were given was extremely small, so much so that it was difficult to move around with four suitcases and the beds took up almost all the available space. We expected a comfortable environment, but the room was clearly not suitable for a family. On top of that, despite the cold weather outside, the room was freezing, and the heating was completely inadequate. Cleaning was fine, but the lack of space and proper heating makes it impossible for me to recommend this hotel to families or groups. The price is far too high for the quality offered. ❌ I won’t be coming back. Definitely not suitable for 4 people.

Very nice venue, quiet and fronting a beautiful park. Good outdoor space, good breakfast (included in the room price) and even good restaurant if you fancy a lunch / dinner. But please note: it is a sort of mid-way between hostel and hotel Not a propert hostel as for example - it does not have a shared kitchen - it does not provide washing machine - no shared rooms However, as an hotel, there is no room service and you could have shared room. The fact to have breakfast is more for hotels than hostels. On the "not positive side", beds are not confortable. Plenty of public parking spaces very nearby. Bike rental available. Lastly: the price is not very economic (but overall can't complain)

In the evening we had a disco dance party at Stayokay and then stayed overnight. It couldn't be better. The rooms in the country house could only be reserved for partygoers. Logically, because at a dance party the music is at a decent volume. We had a romantic corner room, with flower petals on the double bed. (The only room with a double bed: the other rooms have bunk beds.) The room is cramped, but doable. Washbasin is in the room. In a separate cubicle shower and toilet: it was quite cold there, there was no blanket which would have been more comfortable. The room itself was well heated. We slept wonderfully. In the morning a breakfast buffet in the gatehouse at the country house. This was comparable to a 3-star hotel. Very nice staff. In the area you can walk and cycle well and there is a fort, which can be visited at set times.

5 stars for the barman of the coach house, friendly authentic man. However, the fact that you can no longer pay cash is for me the reason that I no longer come there. I have been coming here for 20 years to walk weekly and drink a cup of coffee and a pastry, I never take my bag with me, only a tenner in cash, so that I can walk carefree. In any case, money is legal tender so for me it stops there.
