I warn you that it is going to be a long comment, but the experience was frustrating and since the person in charge answers the messages, I prefer not to leave any details and whoever wants to stay in this hostel, should know what they can find. We were a group of 17 people: 9 adults and 8 children (the oldest, 10 years old) to spend the weekend in Burgos. We chose this hostel because it gave us the possibility of sleeping all together in the same establishment and each family in a family room with its respective private bathroom. In addition, the location is unbeatable, in the center of Burgos, next to the cathedral. We consider the price expensive for a hostel (a traditional hostel): 90 Euros a night, without breakfast, having to make the bed and pay for towels. We are used to staying in these types of establishments and we know that they are spartan but clean facilities and at a very reasonable price. CHECK-IN We arrived on Saturday around 7 pm to check-in after spending the day with the children at the Atapuerca excavations. At 9 o'clock we had a reservation at a restaurant in the center of Burgos so we had time to get the keys, make the beds, get ready and leave quietly for the restaurant. We would have even liked to have a drink in the hostel bar since as a veteran rugby player, I was amused to see that it was the bar of a rugby club with scarves from many teams on the walls, offers of pints of beer during matches of the World… We entered the hostel through the bar and went to the back where the Reception sign was, next to a small hallway. The families with the children stayed at the tables closest to the reception and two of the parents went to the reception desk, finding that it was closed, with no indication of the hours. Just a sign that told us to talk to the bar staff or call the cell phone that appeared. So we returned to the bar and told the waiter (the only one there, tall, thin, with tattoos on his arms) what was happening. He tells us that he is not the person in charge of the reception but that we should not worry, he will call the person in charge. After 5-10 minutes, no one appeared there. We commented again to the waiter and he told us that he had already called and therefore nothing more could be done. We decided to call the reception phone (which later turned out to be the same one the waiter was calling) and no one answered it. We are already starting to have the fly behind our ear: If it turns out that the Reception is closed and no one answers the phone, if there is any emergency, who is in charge? The minutes continue to pass and we wait for half an hour without anyone showing up. At this point, another group of guests (from a cycling club) appears with their bicycles to also check-in and logically they also go to the bar counter to be served by the waiter. There, the waiter already started
