Toyoko Inn Busan Haeundae 2

Over the past few days, I've stayed at three Toyoko Inn hotels: Daegu, Busan Station, and Haeundae. Haeundae's breakfast offered the most variety. The service was pretty consistent across all of them, and the room types, cleanliness, and locations were all excellent. There aren't many chain hotels in Korea, and I've stayed at Toyoko Inn in Japan before too – they're generally a safe bet.

Facilities: Decent, the room isn't huge but it has a bathtub. You have to shower in the tub though. Cleanliness: Acceptable. Environment: The hotel is on a street corner, and the entrance is quite small, so you need to look carefully for it. The breakfast selection is rich, and there's a coffee machine, but the restaurant area was very cold in the morning. Service: Standard.

This Toyoko Inn is really a mixed bag. The good points are that it's very close to the beach and the room rate is cheap. A single room for just over 300 [currency unit] and you can walk to the beach in five minutes. Downstairs, they offer free combs, facial cleanser, makeup remover, and lotion. The downsides are that it's extremely crowded. When I checked in, it was fully booked. The elevators are incredibly slow – there are 4 elevators for 22 floors, and they seem to stop on almost every floor. The breakfast was the worst out of all the Toyoko Inns I've stayed at! There's hardly anything to eat, and it's incredibly noisy because of the crowds. I'd recommend skipping it and finding something to eat outside. The cleanliness wasn't great either; I found a hair on the toilet when I checked in. This time I encountered heavy rain in Busan. Luckily, I didn't spend a fortune on the hotel, otherwise, I'd be heartbroken about paying for a sea view room.

Extremely clean, with excellent facilities and a great location. The front desk staff were very welcoming and provided excellent service. On the ground floor, there's a self-service station for toiletries, free umbrellas, and universal plug adapters. I'd definitely consider staying here again.

I stayed at this hotel in Seoul, and chose it again for my Busan trip. The room is well-equipped, clean, tidy, spacious, and bright. It's just a few minutes' walk to the beach and not far from the famous tourist mini-train. Plus, there are plenty of dining and shopping options nearby, which is very convenient. The front desk staff were enthusiastic and attentive, and the hotel offers great value for money! I'll definitely be back!

The family twin room can accommodate 4 people, which is great value for money. There's a small living area between the two rooms, and surprisingly, it even has two bathrooms, three TVs, and three air conditioners. The whole place is very clean, and the bedding is good too. It's just across the road from the beach, and only a few minutes' walk to Haeundae subway station and the market. Breakfast is available; it's nothing special but it's filling. There are self-service washing machines and dryers.

Fantastic! All the hotel facilities are impeccable, and it's incredibly clean and tidy! I'll definitely choose Toyoko Inn again in the future! Every day I stayed here, I woke up and went to sleep feeling so happy.

Elevator access is available at Exit 2 of Haeundae Subway Station, and the hotel is a 10-minute walk from there. Remember Exit 2, it's useful if you plan to take a bus to Gyeongju! (Go straight for 50 meters from Exit 2, then turn left at the iMart intersection – don't cross the road – and the long-distance bus terminal is just 20 meters away.) The semi-ocean view room genuinely offers a sea view. The room layout and facilities are identical to the Seomyeon branch, but the breakfast isn't as good as Seomyeon's. It's a 10-minute walk to Haeundae Market, and you don't even need to transfer subway lines to get to the Blue Line Park; you can just walk along the coast to Mipo.
