"This is definitely a hotel I'd want to stay at again; check-in was super smooth. The room and bed were really small, but it's newly renovated and has everything you need, plus a nice city view from the window. The price was fantastic, and the location is super convenient – you can walk everywhere you want to go in the city. The only downside is that it's a bit close to the train tracks, so light sleepers might want to bring earplugs. The air conditioning kept showing errors and wasn't working very well."

"This apartment is right on the edge of Melbourne’s free tram zone, just a few blocks from Flinders Street Station—an ideal base for anyone familiar with the city’s tram network. Getting around is straightforward if you know how to make the most of the free transport system. The apartment itself is well-equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay. A functional kitchen includes a stove, an ample supply of cutlery and plates, and a smart TV with built-in access to Netflix—perfect for winding down after a day out. The heater did emit a high-pitched noise when first switched on, but it settled once the temperature stabilized, allowing for a restful night. The only down side is the reception is not 24hrs."

MM39565****The hotel's location is excellent, very close to all sorts of food and shopping. However, the facilities are quite old. The daily room cleaning standards were inconsistent and often perfunctory. The gym is fantastic and very well-equipped. Soundproofing is average; you can hear conversations from the next room.

HHaidi ZThis hotel definitely deserves five stars. The location is excellent, very close to the outlet mall, so you can bring your purchases back to your room right away. And the fact that Coles is open until 11 PM really blew me away! We stayed here on our last night, so it was a brief experience, but overall, it was genuinely great. The front desk staff were super friendly, mostly Chinese, so I'm guessing they offer Chinese language service. The manager was also very nice; when we wanted to see the inside of the secret door in our room, she immediately came to unlock it for us to inspect. Our room was upgraded, probably to a balcony room, so the overall space was quite large. The design is grand and stylish, with black pinstripe frames that look fantastic. The room feels very new, and all the appliances are top-notch. The bed and bedding were clean and comfortable. The bathroom features large marble tiles, which are incredibly expensive – I know from asking about prices when I renovated my own home. They're flawless except for the cost, so it's clear the hotel invested a lot in its decor. The shower water was very comfortable, and the toiletries were also from a good brand. It was quiet at night, which was excellent. I booked it for one night to try after seeing it recommended on Xiao Hong Shu. I booked quite late on the day, so it cost over 200 SGD, which was a bit pricier than usual.

AAnonymous UserCheck in and out was a breeze. Every was explained in detail and they accorded late check out for 2 extra hours which we appreciated. One feedback is the beds. Not sure why it moves so much. It disrupts our sleep at night. Other than that, this hotel provided what we needed for our short holiday.

LLawIt is close to the airport, and the hotel shuttle can be reserved to the airport as early as 06:00. There is no convenience store within walking distance, so you have to drive for about ten minutes to reach the shops and restaurants. Fortunately, residents can enjoy discounted parking. There are not many breakfast options, but it is sufficient, but there are few seats. The room space is sufficient and comfortable, and the sanitary conditions are ideal. However, the hotel does not have swimming pools and other recreational facilities, which is more convenient for passengers in transit or for short stays.

XXin Yu_Nice apartment for 2 pax. The layout is a bit odd as it’s a “circular” shape with the kitchenette in the middle, so the bed is quite far from the bathroom but it’s very spacious. The light switches need a bit of figuring out, esp the bedroom one was hidden behind the curtain lol. There’s only one AC in the living room but the weather was cold when we visited so it’s okay. Location was good with many restaurants nearby and walking distance to the trams. Supermarkets are a bit further, takes about 10-15mins. Nevertheless, quite central and convenient. The reception was also friendly and helpful. Had an issue with the sink drainage and it was resolved the next day. However, housekeeping could be more thorough and attentive. When we checked in, the kitchen bin wasn’t cleared and mugs had coffee stains. The floors weren’t vacuumed daily, table wasn’t wiped and we also had missing towels on one day. They didn’t provide us floor towels at all which I only realised when I went to the reception to collect the missing towels. Soap/amenities weren’t replenished promptly. Maybe we were expecting too much for daily cleaning but if so could have let us know. The kitchen was useful but some items like the frying ladle, chopping board need replacement. Would be good if dishwashing liquid could be provided, we had to buy our own. Very happy with the hot water throughout our stay as we are not used to the cold. Overall still a pleasant stay and enjoyed our trip in Melbourne! If the improvements to housekeeping and amenities could be made, this place would definitely be 5 stars.

SSolomon LoOn 24/6 I ordered fried eggs during breakfast, yet the quality of the eggs were not up to standard, yolk was not normal and with no taste at all, yet I ordered same on the next day with a different chef, that was back to a normal egg, I wondered Sheraton would use such quality of eggs! Another opinion is that gym room facilities are not enough, thanks!

GGuest UserFrom a warm friendly welcome, my stay started with an early check in. I had already prepaid, so only needed a security bond with my credit card. Straight up to my spacious clean room. Allthough the hotel was full, it was still quiet at any time in the room. People where always coming or going, but the desk staff where always on top of it.I had a great swin in the pool, enjoying the view of the rooftops through the skylight. My late check oit was greeted with a warm wish for a wonderful christmas

JJace369I recently stayed at Novotel Melbourne on Collins, and overall it was a great experience. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of the city, with easy access to shops, cafes, and public transport. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, with large windows overlooking Collins Street. The bed was very cozy and ensured a good night’s sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially at check-in — they made everything smooth and welcoming. Breakfast had a good variety of options, and the dining area was bright and pleasant. The gym and facilities were well-maintained, though the pool was a bit small. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for both business and leisure stays. The combination of great location, comfort, and professional service makes it one of the best value stays in Melbourne CBD.

GGuest UserWhen we arrived, we had an issue with our room—the balcony door wouldn’t lock, and the balcony was somewhat accessible from other apartments. Concerned for our belongings, we asked if we could change rooms. The front desk staff were extremely accommodating and kindly offered us a free upgrade to a higher-floor, two-bedroom apartment. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the new room, the second bedroom was locked and inaccessible. We didn’t bother raising it as we hadn’t booked a two-bedroom apartment and didn’t really need the extra space. However, we are starting to feel that the rooms are becoming a bit... dated. There’s often a musty smell when we check in, and this time, we found someone else’s socks in the dryer—after drying some of our own clothes, which wasn’t pleasant. A little more attention to cleaning between guests and ensuring faults are properly addressed would go a long way. Sadly, this experience has left us considering other accommodation options for our next stay—something we wouldn’t normally do, as the Oaks’ location is fantastic! That said, I want to reiterate that the front desk staff were absolutely lovely and very accommodating.

MMark VillarubiaThe location is great—close to the CBD, so no issues there. However, the bathroom layout was disappointing. There was no holder for essentials inside the shower, and the towel rack was placed far from the shower area. I'm not sure how they came up with such an impractical design. Overall, I’d say the hotel deserves an average rating.
